Oh forget it, I'm just pissed that mojang won't add "smart moving" to minecraft.

No, but it is pretty impressive nonetheless.

I wish that people who says they think the game is good/great/impressive etc etc, would point out what they think is good about the game, that's feedback as well, right? Letting the devs know what they're doing right ;)
It mostly just annoys me, because in most discussions on this forum, whenever someone points out something they think should/need to be changed, most of the ones who says the game is good as is, doesn't even point out what they think the game's strong sides are.

I'm being serious, even tho looking at my posting history it's quite apperant that I don't find the game all that great, I'd really like to know what people think are the good things in the game.

    I'd have to say no.

As it stands, I feel like I didn't get my fifteen dollars worth.

Now, if this was the "final" version, I'd turn to the modding community for further enjoyment.

    Great/impressive things about the game
    -Instruments
    -Character creation aesthetics
-Massive scope, this game covers a lot of territory, both literally and figuratively
    -The techs are really fun
Yeah, I'm with you. Out of spite I'm hoping the final game costs more than 15 so I won't feel ripped off. 15 is a lot to charge for the game in it's current state, but hopefully it will pay off with the upcoming updates.

it's basically Terraria in the final stages. this will have more dev on it though. But I wouldn't complain.

They have only added 1 thing from mods, witch was Horses, even Starbound is adding mods, like the Sky Rail Mod witch is now a added thing, and what do you mean by that? Other then the horses, evertything added to minecraft has been from ideas or sometimes good recommendations.

Not quite... there have been quite a few things that have been added that were mods. The pistons happen to be one, even if that was soooo long ago. Mostly though it is ideas from mods when this is in consideration.

As far as starbound though, I actually don't mind since it is fine, as there are quite a few good mods out there like you are implying.

I don't understand what that person means either... Not really elaborate enough.

Please don't turn this forum into a minecraft 10 year old angst one with this type of thread. Thank you.

I like the game as it is now. However, take away the mods and that might change. I have been thoroughly enjoying a lot of the mods probably way more than is healthy.

  14. I voted "no".

I feel I've gotten my $15 out of the game in addition to more. But the game still feels very incomplete.

Again, going off of version "angry koala"

    1. Combat is still clunky and hardly balanced. There is no directional swinging, rendering a lot of weapons underpowered and worse; underused. Guns are either incredibly awesome or completely worthless, as their damage-to-energy-use ratios are all over the place. Legendary weapons leave much to be desired, as the effects are usually mildly entertaining with low damage. Monster AI is still clunky and boils down to "invade your hit box" "get in range to shoot your hit box" and "run away".

    2. Exploration is still too predictable. Every planet has 'v' hostile monsters, 'w' neutral monsters; and of those 'x' are flying, 'y' are ground based, and 'z' are night-time only. There are only 'a' amount of random dungeons that WILL spawn on any planet. Randomization only goes so far before you realize you can isolate the patterns and apply them to everything, and unfortunately in Starbound -- you can do this fairly early on. The only "challenging" or "exciting" bit of exploration so far is finding the unique biomes within the planets. It just needs a little more of everything along with some new unique stuff to shake up the mix.

    3. Last but not least -- crafting and building still feel very empty. Case and point? Take a look at everything that logically should/can be made from wood; you can only craft maybe 1/6th of that. And stone? Or any other material? maybe a new block type to craft. There are so many materials that you can't do anything with. It's such a waste.

Starbound is a great game -- and I really enjoy it so far. But it needs a lot. Maybe even another year's worth of patches before it's the game I expected it to be.

It's fun, but the game isn't the best it could be yet. I'm really looking forward to space dungeons, Hylotl villages/dungeons, and space battles.

The question was simple. Yes or No,

But most of these answers are Detailed explanations of why they said yes or no and
explanations on how his/her explanation is either false, flawed or correct.

I believe that this game is a good game compared to some games I wont mention,
But as it stands currently with much left incomplete, It is not satisfactory.

With frequent updates and good co-operation with their community,
I am confident that this game will amount to something great and enjoyable,
But until then, I will patiently wait.

And yes I do sometimes myself go into detailed unnecessary explanations of things.
Its just what people do, whether they know it or not, people like to express themselves.
