I am in agreement with that, I shall be their new god and they will worship me as such.

 

a new option. willing or not, they will be modified to serve my needs if the species proves incapable/inferior through genetic mutation/manipulation and cybernetics, My dominion will waste nothing.

 

I would probarly try to befriend them. But i suck at being nice in all kind of games (experience from Spore). So they would go agressive and sadly have to blow them to outer space.

Reading that made me think that we should be able to pit two multiple neutral races against each other for ultimate mayhem.

If they do anything to anger Eli Garotte the Sixth, Eclipse Corporation Incorporated will crush them under it's almighty boot, but not until they've taken a few prisoners to feed the hungry maw of The Pit. If not, then they will trade with them and attempt to establish a foothold in the community. Or maybe just kill em.

 

If useful keep them, if not murder them all apart from a few test subjects which I will keep in my labs and experiment on.

I'd help them all of course. Until I get really bored and feel like wiping a species off the face of a planet. But I'd be helpful to everyone else. And I wouldn't kill anyone who's useful. I'm not a bad person

 

Get up to a little mischief, establish grossly unfair trade agreements, and maybe commit genocide a few times, just to see what happens. I mean, that "new game" feeling just sort of goes away unless you try to find things out for yourself.

 

Become known as a planet conquering super-power.
Wipe several races I dislike (too lazy to modify).
Essentially, if a race was ugly, and I couldn't benefit from the race, I'd snuff 'em out.
If they were ugly with benefits, I might be tempted to modify them.

References aside, I'd just try to befriend the alien races, unless they're interfering with something important or acting too violent. Then I will hunt their race to extinction/merge them into my glorious Empire/Melt them down into organic material.

 

+9001, just cause. And i agree with that viewpoint, at least to a lesser degree. =P The only ones who shall live, are the ones that don't rebel against my inevitable conquering of their race/world.
