Polished FTL Animation

    I wouldn't mind that if the background is beautiful and immersive, or maybe an observation room on the space ship or something specifically for this purpose.

    I'm not fond of the length of the animation. It could quite easily get tedious when traveling between planets. I'd like an option to skip it, unless it's used to mask loading between planets. In which case I can live with it.

    That's not what I meant. I meant that the actual ship didn't bob about like in the stream. Turns out I was wrong anyway, so it dont matta. :p Thanks anyway though.

    Pros and cons of showing code in an animation like this:

    Pros:
    Looks professional
    Cons:
    You can steal the code (But a very low amount of code and you probably won't understand all of it)

    also, for those worried about the animation's lenght, i have an hypothesis.
    we know you can walk around thr ship while it flies, and we also know that you can expand your ship eventually.
    i think its gonna be a thing after a while to just walk around your bigger ship and do stuff while flying to your destination, so the whole thing dosent totally go annoying or stale

    I hope some dev reads this, since I'm a bit bothered by the fact that the ship moves in a straight line, then stops and then starts turning towards the planet. It has been the same so far in every vid. So what I think would add to the immersiveness of the game:
    1. It would be cool if both the turning of the ship and the straight movement would fade over in a smoother way.
    2. It would also be cool if somehow the ship approached the planet from a different angle every now and then.

    That'll be my rant.

    Love it. Beats the hell out of the FTL animation in FTL: Faster Than Light, and that game is named after it. Small things like this make me a happy chappy.

    I do like the animation, but I agree that there is some room for improvement. One thing that has been bugging me is that the ship turns using what appears to be a single rear thruster. Wouldn't a space ship need thrusters both fore and aft? Or two rear thrusters spaced very far apart?
