Perhaps I'm jumping the gun on something that might already be planned, but I would really like to see the effects of racial food only benefiting its prescribed race. The fact that Hylotl are vegetarians, yet can guzzle meat like a starved greyhound, and those little eyeball-fruits are supposedly poisonous to all but Florans yet Apex can munch them with candor and glee makes me sigh a little. And not the kind of sigh you exhale after eating a delicious meal. I've also seen previously some people mentioned the idea that after a while food should start to spoil. This, too, is an idea I'd like to see. As it stands, the only difficulty I have with food is that in the beginning, it's a tad rough to rustle up some grub. Easy enough with a little dedicated work, but rough enough for a wakeup call. After a few ingame days have passed, I have enough food to feed a village, or at least myself for an actual period of seven real-life days of dedicated playing if I find nothing else to eat at all. I personally feel that aspect of, "Oh no, I really hope it rains so that the wheat grows up tomorrow, or I might starve to death," adds a lot of excitement to the game for me. I would like to see more of it in later stages of the game - perhaps by way of "Gee, I'm glad I brought these seeds with me - everything on this new planet is poisonous."
