You should look up the cusp catastrophe model. Moderate pressure is good, I assume they were under plenty of pressure before any uproar. Like you say reactions provide results. I dont want results, I want something special, great, and brilliant. Any piss-ant can create a game... hell there are tons of average games. I want a masterpiece, a work of art. It looks as if Starbound could be headed that way -but not if we make them crack. They are not a big enough team to make a "comeback" like other companies you listed.

No, but apparently your idea of a game developer is that they need the coping ability of a paramedic under pressure before they can consider themselves a true game dev. I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous.

What the hell is natural about being the focus of a multitude of people all screaming in your ear for your attention? Arguments that others do it doesn't make it any more natural.

You know.. I am almost 100% sure the Chucklefish team can take a little heat.
...oh dear that came out wrong.

Joke aside, really. The team can take criticism. Some of them have previous experience. The developers aren't going to crack over some opinions people.
They really aren't made of eggshells. Plus they get tons of people saying nothing but good stuff about them daily too.

They aren't even close to a point where they should be cracking. They're facing expectation that THEY set, they haven't dealt with things like site-wide 4chan hacking, people seeding tens of thousands of copies of their games on Pirate Bay, or even smaller scale things like a game that received massive claims of failure, i.e. Mass Effect 3.

You could never convince me that Chucklefish is under any kind of immense pressure it shouldn't be able to handle, not if the conditions are like this. Things are pretty calm and nice here, comparatively.

To Calris; Yes, that does make it natural. Lol. It's natural because it's part of what people do to each other. Some people apply negative pressure, others apply positive pressure. It's still pressure.

"how am i applying pressure d00d"

You're giving them expectations to meet. Arguably a better form of pressure for them in the long run, as it's a competitive sort of thing, and urges them onward, but pressure nonetheless. I don't know why it's hard to understand that it's natural

I have to say , that's some damn fine animating right there. Even though it's sentient feces, something about it just.. feels right.

Which is exactly why I wish you could temporarily take their place to experience it, because I'm confident that they're under a good deal more strain than you seem to think.

Large numbers of people. Very few people are ever the focus of the collective pressure from large groups of people. Ask any entertainer and they will tell you how weird things can get. It's not natural.

Again do a search the CUSP catastrophe model... You are still under the assumption they are facing natural pressure/stress or that more pressure is good pressure. Where is your evidence of them behaving normally? Are you the teams' friend and have inside knowledge things are ok? Just because you believe they are ok and ok with current pressure does not make it so. I have no knowledge they are not ok... but evidence that I listed before in my post does suggest the current pressure is not helping but hurting.

if you don't like to think of it as a poo monster you could always pretend its a earth/mud golem

Such attempts at willful ignorance likely won't work well in a sewer setting.

if you have a good enough imagination you could pretend its a chocolate factory with chocolate monsters lol but than again some people severely lack imagination

Here, watch this entertaining 18 minute video that proves Chucklefish shouldn't be put under any pressure at all.

Since Chucklefish requires creative thinking, they would finish faster with a better product without any pressure.

Oh yeah, gotta appreciate the loaded poll question. It isn't really asking if you approve of the Po.

I wonder how many of that >60% who voted yes actually enjoy smelling shit when they wake up.

Honestly? If said monster appears in a sewer, I find that to actually be quite funny. I like the animation of said monsters.
No need to unleash a shitstorm of rage over this, even if you dislike it. Oh well, nothing new when it comes to vocal minorities (because, yes, we here on this forum are the vocal minority ~~ no need to remind you that there are over 79,000 backers and more non-backers who may not share your opinion).
Also, topic and poll are completly biased (and said "poll" is completly unrelated to the issue at hand). Not to mention your overreaction (and the overreaction of some others). Not cool OP. Actually, not very mature, for someone complaining about poop. The irony is delicious.
