of all the annoying things in this game, from having to find things, to impossibly hard quests, nothing is more IRKSOME, TIME CONSUMING, AND DOWN RIGHT ANNOYING, than trying to find the tiny amounts of plutonium in the massive moons. This horrible part of the game ,which is required for upgraded ships, takes hours and i often find that for every 5000 blocks of moon dust i get 1 plutonium. hours of just digging for nothing. All this can be EASILY fixed by making plutonium glow. Besides, it's plutonium, it's common sense it should glow.[DOUBLEPOST=1432099258][/DOUBLEPOST]just started digging for some plutonium 10 minutes ago, just found 2 pieces. 2 minutes later, found 1 more 10 minutes later, got lucky, found clump of 5 14 more minutes later, still haven't found more, currently have 11,558 moon dust 12 minutes later, it is now 11 pm, now going to bed, will continue search tomorrow. Final tally: 7 uranium, 23,781 moon dust (and that's NOT counting moon stone).[DOUBLEPOST=1432102123][/DOUBLEPOST]WAIT! what the HECK! I DIDN'T PUT A NO WAY ON THE TALLY! HOW DID THAT GET THERE?!?! ADMIIIIIIIIIIINS!!!!!
Radioactive materials don't actually glow. but there are mods that will make it, and all other ores glow. even one that puts letters on em so they are easier to identify.
man, i thought for sure people would want this. it takes hours of NOTHING but mining to get just a couple pieces. I cant be in the minority on this.
I don't mind it atleast when I find it it still seems rewarding, Not I've done nothing but mine so I have chests of it.There are mods that increase ore spawns though dunno about glowing though. >~<
I know there are mods but i'd rather have it ACTUALLY exist also i know it doesn't glow, but that's the general stereotype.
Well then I'm not sure what to say, I believe that that's your preferences I enjoy it being harder to find along with just about most things in the game.I don't see it being increased in the actual game but who knows.Best of luck though. >~<
I don't know about glowing but that stuff can be difficult to find... No seriously this needs to happen. I cannot stand looking for plutonium. It is such a chore. Okay, the fuel is purple and it glows. Plutonium is only found on moons, as is the fuel. They're both purple. I /think/ it's implied plutonium is part of what the fuel is composed of, and the fuel glows. Why not plutonium?? I mean jeez come on! Core fragments glow, so I know it's possible.
The plutonium is pink, and the fuel is not made of plutonium, or vice versa. The fuel is a liquid form of the crystals you need to repair your FTL drive. Lore wise, they don't know what the hell it is made of, only that it works.
Actually, the flavor text says that it´s a highly unstable and volatile isotope, implying that it´s known what it´s an isotope of.
i have no problem with that.... if you play the game just for building u need a creative mod. I want to search, fight and seed for success and its much easier to find then certain buildings for quest items
In Starbound, FTL travel is possible, there are a bunch of aliens, anthromorphic birds, sentient robot space knights... Oh, but forbid we make a radioactive material glow. THAT WOULD BE TOO FANTASTICAL.
There are many other things you could better justify glowing than any ore. There is just no need to make it glow.
