Modding Help Please help

I wanted to make a mod that adds a shortsword, but I haven´t been able to add shortswords or find any online tutorials about it. Can someone help?

Does that completely answer your question, or do you still have any questions about making the sword? There is some confusing elements to building certain types of weapons, which is usually melee weapons since they have to have animation defined. I am a person who will be more than willing to lend their limited knowledge to those who need it, if they ask.
