PLEASE FIX THE CRASHES!

Dev's please concentrate on fixing the awful goddamn crashes, it kills the game and exeprience... there are like 10 thing that cause crashes right at the start of the game...which im sure for you programers would be pretty easy to fix...so pleaaaaase for all of us...fix the crashes you will find tons of examples of crashes on the forum

my game takes 2-3 minutes of loading, and usually crashes when i beam down of my ship/go to another planet or too many stuff on the game screen (like block/npc/dungeon) or just for no reason to be honest...so im kind of desperate from waiting so much on loading just so the game wants to crash

something great has just been added to my crashing experience...now it crashes after i click on the character yaaay...

 

Its not as if they don't want to fix the problems, so please be patient.
But I wonder, why are you having so many crashes? I haven't had any so far except for the ones ive caused myself by modding.

 

use OpenGL mode, it'll eliminate almost all the crashes.

 

i dont know probably my pc(i mean what else could it be?) it's a pretty weak pc but i can play fluently on it, just that it crashes all the time and watching the forums im not the only one who has crashes like this

It's a beta, many crashes should be expected. You should post why you crashed and stuff on the bug thread.

 

tbh I've not experienced any crashes at all.

only negative performance I get is when I knock down a few thousand sand/gravel/water, which only causes micro-stutter which tbh i'd expect.

I must admit to feeling it's quite polished for such an early access, with only minor balance issues.

Actually, yeah, such a problem exists. Would you please share your specs/OS there? I`m pretty sure it has to do something about videocard. Me with my friends who happen to use the same model of laptops with the only a few differencies being RAM size and type of videocard have run a few tests. And, with the same OS being installed and the same sizes of RAM only my laptop, which happens to have Intel GMA HD, suffers such crashes.

 

i guess i'm lucky, 62h in game time and i've had 2-3 crashes. i'm sure some of your crashes will be fixed in the next update.

 

The crashes exist. I choose my character, click, wait for game to load (anywhere from 2-10 minutes) I hear game sound but get a black screen, or it finally loads I beam down only to have it go black again. This keeps happening. Any suggestions?

 

I always crash after save/exiting, then trying to go right back into the game world... If I close starbound and reopen, I have not crashed yet.

 

What OS are you are using? I take it this is a laptop?

Also listing you PC/laptop specs would help as well as the error code you're getting.

 

I never crash unless it's caused by playing some specific music files.
