Player Placed Traps.

    I would like to see this be made to where player placed traps hurt anything else that touches them, except for the person who placed them. It's weird to place a trap and then run into it, while monsters and enemies alike just walk through it!

    What do you guys think?

    I could agree with traps hurting monsters in some situations*, but I don't think you should be immune to them yourself.

    *it may be necessary to make monsters immune to traps in dungeons, or all you'd have to do is wait for them to kill themselves. ;)

    I heard somewhere that the Alpha testers took the traps with them and used them as weapons in the Alpha and that is why they only allow players to take damage from the traps. I think they will improve the traps once that AI is a bit smarter.

    Yes, I tried making a saw blade trap, and it sadly didn't work :(

    Well I'm just asking that it doesn't damage players, it doesn't even have to hurt monsters, for me, I just use tesla spikes as decoration. But it WOULD be nice, for the people who do want it to hurt monsters, to mabey just have it hurt the monsters randomly then?

    Inconsistency with monster damage would, I think, be even worse.
    As for not harming players, do you mean any players? What if you are in a PvP situation and want it to hurt other players?

    The teslas are good for decoration, that's true. I'd advise enclosing them to solve the damage issue, though. :)
