Instead of making a lot of default vehicles, I thought it might be cool to let the player design his/her own vehicles. They could design their own rocket using rocket parts found in dungeons or that are craftable. Players could also build land vehicles with wheels and other materials. There could be different vehicle work stations that you could build where you could make parts.

It will be awesome if you will be able to Build Plane/Car/Boat AND OTHER! I have idea: Cars can be crafted only in garage thing where you will add like wheels and motor, but boats and big planes can be created by crafting or YOU CAN BUILD IT LIKE HOUSE! So that means you will need Fuel rooms, Core, etc., then you can fly off or start leading the boat towards the wild waves!! Its just idea, nothing else
Soooooo... sorta like Starward Bound? I like your suggestion, however, they would have to significantly differentiate the feature from other games like Kinetic Void and Starward Bound.
I love this topic. I upvoted it as hard as I could. Since I liked it so much, I took this idea, along with a bunch of other peoples awesome vehicle ideas and made a combined suggestion. In order to satisfy everyone in their creative desire what is really needed is a vehicle hangar/garage/bay area that would be part of a players space station. In it players could be able to build, customize, and store their vehicles for use on planets. The bay itself could be upgraded with resources to increase the amount of vehicles stored, vehicle size, type, amount of customization options, etc. With a system implemented like this, it could satisfy the multiple suggestion topics that include different types of vehicles like, subs, aircraft, mechs, and multi-person vehicles. i definitely would like this as user created as it possibly can be and so naturally i find my way into this thread, i would like to make a ship all my own that is not like anyone else, i know you'll be capable of coloring your ship and whatever but it just dosen't satisfy like building your own ship would, and seeing your friends who you know will either make something awesome, outrageous or inappropriate and seeing the ships posed on here to inspire you would be fun, they might have it the way they do due to the ability to upgrade your ship but i still prefer building my own and working for all the upgrades, ya know?
