am I missing something? its impossible to kill the third boss with just scout armor. and I have 25 hours playtime and havent even come across 1 block of platinum. theres something wrong here, ( and I have checked every level of every sector) or I am just crazy.
From what I've seen, platinum doesn't spawn in ore deposits until you reach threat level 31+ planets.
Then why is it offered to make armor with platinum so early in the game? and how do we tank the third boss with silver armor and we get one hit? even gold its one hit
yea I get one shot by everything from tier 2 and after because I had gone through the same process to find gold but it is not even available until tier 3. and at tier 3 the soldier armor still gets one shot at a planet lvl 21. so I have abandoned armor and have resorted to surrounding enemies in dirt and then hitting them through the walls.

Ironically,platinum becomes useless the moment you gain access to it...You also gain access to better armor crafted with more common materials in Sector 4 planets. So ideally,it's best if platinum ore spawned in planets before the third boss,but the set would give less armor...
I only ever find it in chests and all that. I think it's rates need to be buffed a LOT. I find metals better than platinum more than I find platinum. Maybe they could replace low-tier ores with higher ones on high level planets, such as not finding copper and silver on level 11+ planets and finding platinum instead.
They already do that, so this wouldn't be hard to implement I am assuming. When you reach the gamma sector, iron ore pockets are replaced with titanium. I have traveled the X sector and can't find platinum, even when people claim it can be found on higher level planets. It's just getting frustrating because at this point I am just hopping worlds to find platinum bars in chests because I need it for my next pick upgrade.
Oh, yea. Titanium is everywhere in the gamma sector. I believe it replaces iron. So you can find it on the surface.
You have to use the decoy princess to kill boss from that to get the next starmap upgrade. Then you unlock the blueprints for Durasteel equipment. and Durasteel is made by combining Titanium Bars and Coal ore. Hope this helps friend.
you don't have to kill the dragon to get to titanium. You can find it in the gamma sector, which you unlock by killing the robot
Platinium appears much later than intended and platinium armor is way worse than it should be. This should be getting a fix in the next patch.
Lets hope so. I really want to solo that dragon. And at least with the current combat system, (which I know is getting revamped in a few days) it's impossible to do without an equally tiered set of armor
that's what I did. I just want the armor for my solo series on my channel. I can't solo him. (without safespotting) But it doesnt really matter. I am going to have to remake all of the videos anyway because of the new combat update
I think Platinum should be rebalanced as a highly valuable metal, rare at all tiers, so people will only ever have tiny amounts to trade with. You can get 5 bars in village chests sometimes, which means you just need to find about 14 platinum chests to make the armor you need, which isn't totally unreasonable if you are flying around to different planets looking for techs, and exploring each village you come across. That's how I got my platinum armor.
