Dev Blog Plans for updating Risk of Rain.

Did anyone notice better performance in the last level thanks to the last update ? (I remember one dev talking about a solution for this and I am wondering if it has been implemented yet)

i like how slows these bug fixes come, the incomplete artifacts system and the non existent arena mode

 

TBH when I bought this, I expected it to be a complete game, and is basically complete. The only thing I expect post launch is bug fixes, and with the update I really hope the online multiplayer crit bug is fixed. New Content is really nice, and I appreciate that, but I would still like the game without additional content.

 

Call me a newcomer that got your game from the Steam Summer Sale, but I really like the game, and they only thing that could make it better is getting rid of the bugs that have been reported. New content is entirely up to you as a developer, but I find that games that have a "perpetual" development cycle to them are far more interesting, what with the new content and the new systems that could be put into play. I would like to see all of the character unlockable in online multiplayer, as well as the capability to run multiple instances, so I can have local players playing with online friends.

All in all, this is an amazing game, and I haven't been able to put it down or stop thinking about in ever since I got it. If development and content additions were to continue, I would be the most rapt consumer that would exist.

 

If anyone is playing for high scores, speedrunning might be something you would be interested in.
