    This is basically right :p. You visit planets by typing co-ordinates into a starmap. If the starmap has no limit on the length of co-ordinates, then we have infinite planets. If it does, then we have almost-infinite planets xD. And we don't yet know what types of planets there will be. :). You will be able to visit other celestial bodies such as asteroids too, though.
