Planets in the Sky

I'm Commander Shepherd, and those are my favourite Starbound images on the citadel!

 

This is really cool. I think the Artwork is awesome. However the night shot pic makes the planet look like its not out in space. Need a little more haze or something. I don't know

 

I find the dark sides of the planets need to be darker.

I thought "Awsome" wasn't worth posting so I tried suggest something, others were expressing their opinions.

That's too legit to quit. I also love how the water in the top picture extends into the horizon rather than being a flat line.

This thread is beautiful. Planets in the sky, that accurately represent the solar system, are beautiful.

 

It would be neat if the amount of damage inflicted on a planet would affect how it looked from another, i.e. if I decide to harvest the planets resources it would look a bit more desolate than before while I’m on my home planet or a massive amount of terraforming to make the scenery better

 

Kinda strange how they are all the same size.

They really should mix the size and colors IMO if just for size OR distance, the illusion doesnt need to be fully realistic to look great...appropriate planet sizes is somethign I am sure they are planning on as he JUST got it working

So to summarize:

1. Maybe pixelate them a bit more so that they fit in with the graphics of the rest of the game.
2. Perhaps get a distance to size ratio for the planets. Planets in the orbit closest to the planet you are on are bigger in the sky than the ones further out.
3. Not all of them have to be big/visible planets. The one or two furthest away could just be exceptionally big, bright stars in the sky.
