One thing I've been wanting as I've explored alpha sector is a way to make notes. Specifically notes attached to planets that could be viewed in the navigation. I just think it would be really cool if inside the navigation menu i could have notes like "Pissed of the town be careful" or "Found a ship wreck to the right" stuff like that so I don't have to try and keep it all in my head. This will be especially nice when i make my beacon and start exploring other sectors. ~Sariaz

I agree. At a bare minimum you should be able to add a name to a planet. I mean, it could still show the scientific name (which is fairly cool anyways), but could have what you've decided to call it in quote marks, this way you'll be able to label planets fairly easily and figure out where you've been. This, and/or notes, would make life a hell of a lot easier after playing for a long time, I can image. I, for one, can see myself getting lost in the depths of space. (Which I suppose is actually quite cool.)
it would be nice if you could select the already visited planets (in the navigation log) to revisite them.
