I had an idea for a planet, (well, sort of)
Like, a group of clustered asteroids that have evolved life, held from crashing into each other through vines and magic (or mechanical means)
Basically, a bunch of floating islands, surrounded by clouds, with plenty of flying mobs. (kinda have an image from avatar)
Falling off may mean landing on another island, or falling to your doom.
Movement would be through jumping on (possibly moving) clouds, vines, mechanical lifts or magic/wind streams. as well as just trying your luck doing a leap of faith to the next island.
I think the concept would be pretty sweet, would wanna see something like this in the game.
    What do you all think?

mmmh, so you say the "planet" wouldnt have a core or something?

Floating asteroids held together by nothing is a bit weird, but it doesnt sound like a bad idea to me.

I dunno exactly, the quotes are to say that it may not be referred to as a planet :p
Could have some form of central mass (magic core/black hole, or mechanical centre, or just rock)
But again, the idea was for the floating islands, and hopefully a "world" made from these. :D

Well, a planet without a core sounds a bit weird, thats all.
I like the idea tough, watch out or you'll fall into the core.

Yeah, I see what you mean, just don't know what to call it :p
    And yeah, that's right :D

The core could be some form of ancient energy technology that creates an electromagnetic- and gravitational field, developed by a very wise and ancient humanoid race. ;)

I like that idea. It's different from other planets that are just flat liner planes, it forces you to jump or build your way across while dodging attacks from birds type monsters! I will say I think the core should kill you once you touch it just so that there is a constant fear of falling to your doom! I wonder if they'll put jetpacks in the game too. Jetpacks (or any similar item) wouldn't be as fun as a vehicle.

It could be used later on, when you have access to anti-gravity gear like jetpacks. Low-orbiting moons or even fragmented "islands" of a destroyed planet, the mass of the fragmented landmasses could still maintain some kind of gravitational pull, that would prevent them from, at least within a short timespan, breaking orbit. It wouldnt be a place you could settle down (Unless you constructed devices to hold the fragments in place, and creating an atmosphere that could sustain life.)

But, it would look pretty damn cool, to have small settlements on the landmasses, once its been made save to live on.
