Planet size?

Does the size of the planet on the navigation map represent the size of the planet generated?
I tend to prefer exploring many small word since we cannot beam where we want and it's really boring having to walk all the way back if we die.

 

From my experience yes.

 

Yes, the size on the map represents how large the planet actually is.

Yup. Walking one direction for long enough brings you back to the start.

Didn't they mention somewhere that they may make endless planets? Keep running in 1 direction for an eternity.

Some of the planets are insanely big too. One of my starter planets took over 30 minutes to go all the way around!

 

Yes you can - And the size also affects how ... big it is

Goodness me I hope not - I like the idea of being able to circumvent them. Incredibly large planets is fine though

 

The largest planets I've found have required about three or four day/night cycles of almost constant movement to go around.

 

Yeah one planet after about 40 mins trying to get back to teh start I gave up so yeah some em are big and it seems to go hand in hand with the size of the planet as seen from the start map

 

I'm totally setting up an expedition to circumnavigate the globe!

No. They said the engine was capable of handling this, but that they weren't going to implement it.

 

Does anybody go mining at any given place on a non-home planet? Like walk walk walk walk.... Oh here I go down!
