Christa crossed her arms, her face showing slight annoyance. It's not like I need someone to tell me that attacking something that big head-on isn't a good idea... She understands his concern, however, and was quick to reply. "Got it. Try not to get killed until we're done evacuating, all right?" Christa turned her head to the other residents, clapping her hands together to get attention. "Well, you heard what he said; direct confrontation is nearly impossible. Let's get outta here, and fast." She spread her wings and flew upward, perching on top of a nearby building before continuing. "Those of you with able bodies, keep an eye out for the less capable! Have someone guard the rear and take the point! I'll provide intel on a route from here on out! No unnecessary talking, everyone!" Barely waiting for an affirmative from the others, Christa soared, eyes tracing the optimal escape route for the residents of the Eternal Rest. No-one gets left behind... Hopefully.
The enormous abomination looked around, seeing christa flying about, it dropped the building and then it's arms creaked as it picked up two large suvs and threw them abnormally fast at Christa, after releasing the SUVs, he turned to the numerous people running about, it turned its head to the sky and its chest armor opened. Metallic and fibrous tendrils launched out, striking towards the civillians on the ground, as two large discs slowly spun out of its shoulders, glowing brightly and then releasing an enormous blinding flash, bright as lightning.
Lucius was moving too fast to change his trajectory. He jumped onto the building and tried to rush to the other side. However, the beast let go of the building and attacked the bird woman. "Well, that was a stroke of luck." He jumped to the other building as the creature pulled out the disks. "Hm, what could those do...AAAAH!" Lucius screamed in pain as the light hit him, the pain engulfing him. Lucius looked down at himself; fallen on the ground, smoking and glowing with light power. He quickly extinguished the burning light with his own shadows and got into a kneeling position, gathering his strength. "Okay, new target. Destroy those disks." He pondered for a bit, "If those disks create light, then darkness should do the trick." His strength gathered, he blasted at the disks with full power, sending beams and orbs at the beast.
Animalicus continued clacking the numerous keys on the console, fingers moving rapidly over them as he studied every aspect of his creation, its power had gone down to fifteen percent meaning that he needed to accomplish his goal quickly, and effectively, he studied as the shadows went towards the discs and as the man fell to kneeling position, smoking. Animalicus smiled, he redirected much of the joint energy to the discs, and pressed another button, the discs spinning much faster, tails of light following in a spiral, as they spun faster and faster. The monster went rigid, the shadows hitting it and blocking its sight, it stayed rigid the discs growing brighter and brighter, the spirals of light getting larger and larger, and then blinking rapidly, as the tendrils continued swiping up civillians, the heroes would have to work faster if they wanted to get them to safety, destroying the tendrils would be a good start.
Epsilon didn't have time to think about what was happening. He saw the creature lift the building Lucifer was on, causing him to stumble. But before he could lose his balance the creature dropped it and instead threw two SUV's at Christa. The beasts chest opened and reviled a host of harvester tendrils. He quickly grabbed his grenades in one hand and aimed his grapple with the other. Before he could do anything else a huge flash came from the beast. His retina enhancements went to max tint, a feature designed to make his eyes immune to flash bangs, and was totally unaffected by the flash. He saw Lucifer collapse however, he was vulnerable to light. Epsilon fired his grapple at one SUV and fired the anchor for the line at the road, that would make it lose its momentum. He just hoped that she could dodge the other one. He threw all his grenades, he couldn't be conservative in this situation, In the widest spread he could into the center of the tendrils. He hoped to destroy all, if not most, of the tendrils.
*Edan jumped onto the beasts harvester tendrils and began to intensify the fire on him on them burning the tendrils* "burn you beast burn for you shall not escape"
The monster detected Edan on itself, and the tendrils lurched up, trying to wrap around edan and crush him, while the discs being hit by the shadows blink even more rapidly, still spinning, faster and faster as the shadows hit them. As the grenades flew towards the monsters writhing chest of tendrils, the creature realized that the grenades would blow up Edan as well, after this realization it let the greandes fly at itself, and at Edan. . .
As the woman watched the fight unfold from under the manhole, she quietly removed the manhole and climbed out, dashing for "The Eternal Rest" and its frontal crowd, searching for Alaizia.
*Edan in an effort to stop himself being crushed tried to burn the tendrils closest to him so they would stop intensifying the fire once again and focusing it* while being crushed Edan heard a bone break he knew he had to work faster but how that's when he thought of it the others could help him "quick throw in more fire creating stuff just anything and be quick just anything to get the beast to weaken it's grip"
(Well, incoming move... At least what I -CAN- do.) the building was quickly evacuated into the street, Moriah herself heading upstairs to find Kazrion and Alaizia, who were already headed down. Kazrion bearing an unconsious child over his shoulder as Moriah casted him an unusual look. The group however quickly exited the building and filtered out into the street to hear the final dying echos of an explosion. Shortly thereafter A rumbling begins causing Kazrion to look this was and that, before finally seeing a titanic robot of bone and metal rising from a little ways down the street. “Oh. Right.” Kazrion says as people around him begin gasping and talking about the monstrosity. Then Kazrions own thoughts are interrupted by a girl...Bird, thing. Landing not too far from him. though thanks to his own animalistic form he couldn't help but find her attractive on some level. Unsure if it was because he instinctually wanted to eat her, or do something else with her however. He opted to ignore the feeling. "Evening, everyone. I heard a couple sounds like nails on a chalkboard, and came here to take a look. Honestly, this is the biggest mess I've ever seen... So I guess I'll help out." the girl says in an almost sing-song voice as she looks over the crowd. Her eyes setting on Moriah for a few seconds before shifting upwards, to the roof of the building behind her. "...And what about you?" She asks, causing Kazrion’s gaze to shift upward and spot a huge robotic… Dude. Who took a moment before attaching some form of grapple to the wall and slowly lowering himself. “Oh, I want that.” Kazrion says lightly, looking at the grapple as the cyborg settles. "I'M IN N-N-NO CONDITION T-T-T-TO *bzzt* FIGHT. I'M OF LITT-T-T-TLE HELP. THESE THINGS ARE *zzt* AFTER BODY'S. TURN THEM INTO MORE OF THOSE *shht* ABOMINATIONS. TURN THEM INTO M-M-M-MOSNSTERS." He says, looking at the bird girl. Kazrion stopped playing attention however, as the titan suddenly lurched, causing his attention to suddenly stick to it. Then focus on Alaizia, suddenly aware of the danger. “We’ve got to get out of here. No doubts it’s after you.” He says flatly, turning to find Grey and subsequently throwing the child at the large man, who carries him like he weighs nothing. turning back to Alaizia he takes her hand, weaving through the crowd and away from the titan. “They’re all going to go one way, no doubts. So what we need to do is take a different route.” He stops suddenly, taking off his hoodie and practically forcing it onto Alaizia. Then flicking up the hood, tucking her hair in to the back to stop her from being identified as easily. “Actually.” He says, looking back at the crowd. “Stay with them. Follow Grey in particular, he won’t let anything happen to you. He’s weird like that.” After telling her that, before even asking for confirmation, he begins scaling a nearby building. Intent on reaching the top for a better vantage. his white fur and shirt standing out a bit in the moonlight, but that was irrelevant. He looked down in time to find Lucifer arrive. “does that guy even know how annoying it is he always turns up at all the right times?!” Kaz groans aloud as the two talk. The titan finally reaching its apex and awakening completed its voice somehow penetrating the distance. "You... Are... Targeted" It groans, the voice decayed, but sounded more frightening by that aspect. Made even worse when it suddenly slammed its hands into the ground, ripping a chunk of street out and throwing it at the people gathered below. Kazrions voice caught in his throat but quickly sighed in relief as LUCIFER of all people, saved everyone. Using some form of high explosive arrows. He kept the pressure on and ran to a nearby building, firing arrows at the titans joints. "You... Interfere" It’s voice echoed once more through the region as its hands delved under the building Lucifer was in. Kazrion was dumbfounded that he was actually rooting -for- Lucifer, but still he did. Even as another man begin attacking the beast with flames of some form. They were largely ineffective, but it was a rather pretty light show. The group didn't stay to enjoy it however as the bird girl took charge, guiding everyone and keeping them organized as the giant titan dropped Lucifer's building to throw some nearby cars at the bird girl. One was grappled by the cyborg, which caused it to fall very short as the other continued through the air. Kazrion didn't pay attention to if it hit however as he began moving along the building, watching the crowd from above rather than the robot. One woman in particular interested him. A young brunette who had climbed from a nearby manhole. “And why would you do that…” Kazrion mumbles, keeping step with the people below by free-running across the roof tops.
Animalicus cursed under his breath, the titans power reserves had gone down to a weak 7%, something Animalicus was unhappy about, but then the sound of printing reached his ear holes, he turned and saw a strip of paper haltingly printing out of another console. he walked up to it and tore it off, the numerous tiny holes and dash marks were a form of communication he had developed for his monsters electronic signals, he looked it over and smiled again, the harpies were reforming, slowly, and it would take several days for them to fully centralize to continue his work. He walked back to the titans console and pondered whether the flash would incapacitate the lot of them enough for it to escape to one of animalicus' safehouses so he could provide more power and repair damage, he had a long month of salvage ahead of him if the titan survived. He pressed a button, the discs spun faster on the screen and the tails of light created a vortex around the discs, Animalicus smiled and continued his work, pressing keys and studying other screens and consoles. He pulled out a small device and entered several commands, the electronic signals speeding towards his newer creation, the woman he had tricked into following him. The titan ( aptly named by Kazrion ) went rigid again the discs spinning rapidly and the glow intensifying more, this would likely be the Titans last move before it attempted escape.
Zin slowly faded back into the land of the living. He felt that he was moving, as if he was on the back of a horse, but a little more gentle. He didn't want to open his eyes, he felt safe. But then his hearing faded in. Screams, calls and yells made Zin act instinctively, opening his eyes and rolling out of the big guys grasp, falling onto the ground with a fairly loud crack. That's where the pain kicked in, his arms and legs were bruised, his bones fractured and his left arm recently broken. And then, just to make sure this was the second worst experience in his lifetime, a blinding glow of light, straight into his eyes.
with a titanic clicking sound, like the worlds largest camera, the discs released their flash of light, brighter than the sun and thrice as loud as thunder, the light screamed from the discs followed by a loud halting screech from the taxing of the machine, the titans flash was deisgned to incapacitate originally, but blindness for a couple days wasnt uncommon after witnessing this god bright flash.
Lucius saw the light intensifying, and saw that there was no hope to stop it. "Uh, oh" He rushed to get into the building, hiding himself from the light. From underneath a desk, he felt the light through his psuedo-shield and saw its effects on the room. He huddled down, waiting for the dreaded light to dissipate.
Kazrion kept his eyes locked on the girl, even as the young boy wrenched himself from Grey's grasp, who immediately sought to pick the kid back up. But was halted as an unholy noise rose in the air, reaching a pitch which gave kazrion a headache as he refused to take his eyes of the woman, memorizing her features. Then he spotted it. Everyone was looking around curiously. Not her. She instead locked eyes on the back of Alaizias head. Kazrion's will to watch her intensifies as he looks ahead. They were going to round a corner. It would be a perfect time to separate her from the group, if nothing happened before they hit that corner.
The titan attempted to lumber off in the chaos of the flash, strangely enough, as it could have likely killed most of the people, and wasn't outmatched, perhaps it will lead followers to its master?
