Server Help Planet corruption when server goes down

    I don't own the server, but I've been playing on one that has a single planet reset now and then when server goes down and up.

    I was wondering if anyone has ran into this problem and may have a solution since its a community planet and we lose everything we build.

    The server owner or administrator needs to perform backups and ensure the server is shut down gracefully. Refer them to this forum if they need help doing such tasks.

    Is it as simple as just making a copy of the universe database/directory now and then? I guess there's no tools to detect crashes and create the backup.

    Also, it's a crash that usually causes this issue to further clarify.

    Yes, the universe folder is what they should back up. There are many ways to automate this, depending on your OS.
