Planet bookmarks and stats would be nice.

One of the things I noticed when playing the game is that with so much planets around it's really hard to keep track of things. One time I was exploring a planet and after a while I realized I had all ready been there earlier. It would be nice if the game tracked the players movements a bit. So when you visit a planet it would at the very least count the time you spent there. So if you come back later you can see if you have all ready visited that planet and for how long. Other stats would also be kinda neat, but not as important. For instances the number of monsters slain, block destroyed etc.

It would also be nice if you could bookmark planets that you find interesting. Maybe you find a planet with a weapons dealer, but don't have enougth money at the moment. If you could bookmark planets it would be a lot easier to revisit them. This function would be pretty much the same as the home planet, but you would be able to name the bookmarks and have more than 1.

 

I second this! I have been writing down all the coordinates and planet names in a notebook.

 

Yup this is needed. I'm a little surprised that we don't have it, since I remember one of the devs talking about this feature like it was already in game.

In addition to bookmarking a planet, it would be nice if the player can make a note about the planet. Such as: head left for bacon/dungeon/weapon vendor

 

It wouldn't be hard for them to do. The feature is already in the game. You can bookmark your 'home world' that you pick, so they just need to add a array of booking planets also, and add the ability to make string entries that can be viewed and stored. I'm sure we'll see this soon.

 

I'm writing all coordinates just in-case they will work later in the patches.

 

Yea I've been doing the same, getting to know my general area and writing everything down is good in my opinion - even if it does make me feel like a looser.

 

I just mark the area next to where I beam down with a back wall and a torch to show that I've been there, and then a taller wall with two torches to show that I've picked all of the easy-ish to reach stuff clean.
At least then I won't actually spend time exploring a planet I've already been around.

Though now that fuel is slightly harder to come by, that is a little less convenient.
