this sounds like a nice place to live. i support this idea. This is a game on planets, and we don't know what to expect on a planet, so this sounds about right to me, mysterious.

I like the idea of a "corruption" themed planet but perhaps instead of magic we have a dead world where a nightmare parasite animates the slain members of a failed colonization project. I mean hey, it worked for Dead Space.

:iswydt: anyway i hate to correct you but it was a device called the marker that made the equlivant to space zombies
Maybe you could find that on a planet

To start, I don't agree with this suggestion, though my reason is similiar to the fantasy vs. sci-fi argument. Not because they are differnet genres, as sci-fi is just a specific form of fantasy.

What I would like, is to possibly introduce these ideas with a sci-fi background to them. Instead of ghosts, you could have creatuers that are out of phase, and also you would also have options via defensive devices or weapons which would either un-phase them and make them killable, or repel them, so you can build without having annoying npcs going through your structures and killing your NPCs which would get annoying very quickly.

Something like that would also tie into the general concept of gearing yourself against specific enemies & environments, instead of having a single pew pew gearset that just destroys everything.

It's not a bad idea, but it doesn't fit Starbound's genre completely.
Either way, I would still like to see this planet, it's like a "Super Biome".
