Placing slime in lava sometimes generates ore

... really, it does and it does it in pretty large amounts!

 

Works with standard dirt as well.

 

sounds like, once we get away to gather liquid blocks we just made an awesome tool. because walking to the core every time we want to see magma can get redundant.

 

Does it generate ore or just reveals it?

 

Are you talking about the magma at the planet's mantle? If so then yes, it's already been reported more than once.
