    Hello,

While I was exploring a planet, I've found in a cave many Pixel Yellow Fireflies flyin' around the screen, same on the surface on another planet as the screenshot below :

While in Debug mode ( no clue there ), there is an invisible spark / object ( red square ) that is moving here and there with the yellow fireflies flyin' around ( probably the red one spawns them )

Don't mind the grey ones, it was the Ash weather

So, there is a way to get that object via admin commands ? Or someone know the right asset / item / object name ?

The same effect with flyin' thingies - but in a white / grey color - is placed in the Ark ( it starts from the trophies vendor )

    Thanks ^^

If I had to guess, some kind of projectile. Mists spawn in similiar way: an invisible projectile stuck in the ground displaying/spawning some animation.

Asked in a Steam Workshop mod, et voilĂ  : /spawnmonster fireflyspawner

The dude said it is an Entity ! Would be cool to have ground mist too and place it in graveyard themed buildings

That's interesting! I wonder what else is an entity. I bet there are some cool things we could do with those.

    Indeed !

Maybe someone can mod those things up and transform them in placeable objects. I've tried to place the fireflies, but when beaming down again there they were gone. Don't know if it was caused by the weather... will have some more tests

They're not persistent, i.e. will despawn the moment you go far away / exit the game. And with particles and projectiles there is also that they often have their own iinternal life time, after which they despawn. Easiest solution would be to get Smoke Machine code and replace smoke with mist/fireflies/whatever you can think of.
Hell, now that you mention it...

    Ahw, that's why :F

Smoke machine code is the way - invisible object and we are done ( or like the invisible sound so you can place in the same spot anything you want - ie : it goes over it like there is nothing placed )

Not necessary: you just need to render it in background layer (look at Protectorate prologue set pieces)

If you want the smoke but not the bulky machine, just use the smoke primer. It is on all volcanic planets it is a small set of pixels that lay on the ground and produce the spoke present. I have found they cannot be collected but are still a smaller less noticeable smoke machine. I believe there used to be and admin code to get them I don't know about now though.
