Pixel Tier Contest

Done mine, Took me an hour or so, Hope I am not too late to enter. Only a quicky so I don't expect to win but it's always fun to enter!

Looks more red when it's smaller, Which would probably make it seem better in a profile picture.

Decided to give a background an attempt.



Still trying to figure out how to get rid of the white background, But you get the gist. Done with a mouse in Graphics Gale (Free program, Good for pixel characters)

I'm no artist but I had nothing to do today so I decided I'd give it a shot.

First of all, this is the picture I used as reference: http://ts2.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.5040956818720221&pid=1.7

I started out at a size of 20x25 pixels and went from there.



Then I decided to add a background to the image that would fit with the 'retro' theme and I ended up with this(If someone could edit it so the background is transparent I'd appreciate it a lot. I don't know what I was thinking with those colors. Reminded me of Atari. )



At that point I still wasn't happy with the picture so I decided to get a bit creative. The end result is really nothing more than a bunch of 'happy accidents' as Bob Ross once put it.



Pretty good for someone who can be out-drawn by a kindergartner I think. Thanks for opening this contest, I had fun.

 

Its really easy just use a blue gradient downward and a green gradient to the left then just pixelize it and reduce the image size to 200 x 200 px

 

Here is my final entry in 1 place for convenience's sake. (Also to get more post count. Not really.)

There are much better pictures here that should take the win . But I thought I'd share a different version of mine.
This time using only 8 colors (previous had 38!).

Not at all to the contrary I apreciate it so i can improve it and i do i feel i need to there are more amazing works than before and the backgroun it is rushed lol just do it with gradients a pixelating filter and reduced the size because I spend all day just mading the fox and the frames for the tail, but its quite fun! to be honest i never try drawing somethin with a 1 px pincel the downside its that even though it is made like that the outcome dont really looks like a pixel art only if made smaller.

I was trying to do dithering to make the lights and shadows but it just dont look good lol any advice to the pros out there?

 

Thats nice i cant do that i wanted to do something like that NES image but endeng with something like SNES

EDIT: Just realised that when i save images on paint in JPEG format it reduces quality. F**K!!!!!!!

a bit late, but here you go......
NOTE: this IS NOT a image, it is a small game thing i made in the last week. INcredibly horrible, it is basically a base Flixel game with... well... pretty much nothing. And the animations...gees.... they are horrible, but im a bad pixel artist. Comes with source, as the main thing i made this for is just to show you some code. I am blabbering a bit here, but i am very tired right now, even though it is only 8:00. BYe
