I have read that the money in game is called pixels and this is based off of 3D(well 2D here) object printers and the pixel is used as ink so why not when making an item show the process of the item being printed off or created by a printer.
In one of Tiy's videos show a progress bar for cooking meat. So, if there is a delay at all for crafting items, then I am sure they will have one for crafting items as well. If you want to find the video itself just skim through the videos here: www.twitch.tv/tiyuri.
Intended meaning was game development time - wouldn't the devs have to make even more sprites and animations for every single item in the game then?
I see now and maybe? If it were possible for an camouflaged box to cover the item and have the cover be removed slowly moved while some animation shows the progress of the item. Could be practical to see an item's progress in construction without actually needing to walk over to the machine.
well that's true it would require more time to add art so maybe it would have a percent bar on the printer and then eject the item out at you?
Well with the money being called pixels i thought since crafting may use pixels why not make it more visual than just having it made into the inventory but its probably just making the system to complicated .
This has already been discussed to great length, in a thread regarding "ink" that would be used to print/manufacture items.
I don't think it would really be that easy when I think about coding and how sprites work but even if it was possible, this seems like a lot of work for a small detail. Maybe post-release something like this could be added?
