Picking a single block too slow?

    When you use the pickaxe it does a 3 x 3 grid of blocks and if you press shift it makes a 1x1 but it takes the same time to break a single block with this method than 9 without pressing shift shouldn't picking a single block with your pickaxe be 9 times or at least faster than breaking nine?
    Sorry if i didn't explain it too well.

    It's really only there so you can do precision mining or mine out a small detail in a home, so I don't think it needs to be faster.

    Sounds like a suggestion, and not a bad one if you ask me!

    You probably already knew this, but I'll say it anyway...
    The 1x one just exists so that you can do precision work when building and/or working with lava etc.
