Closed Piano item crashing game when played!

After wandering in a cave I stubbled upon a chest with a piano inside, and upon playing the instrument Starbound crashed! I don't know if there is any way to fix this or if anyone else is having the same problem but for now as a warning, do NOT use/play the piano item! It will cause your game to crash!

 

Did it crash upon selecting the item in your hotbar, clicking it to use, or when you selected a song?

 

It's likely the song you are trying to play, I play my piano quite a bit.

 

it's the song. the new update made it so starbound can't recognize some things in the abc notation that it used to be able to.

 

Have you updated the game to the most current version? There was a bug that would cause the game to crash when trying to play any instrument, it got hotfixed.

 

I actually think there are still some problems, just not the one that got hotfixed, obviously.

 

yea occasionally you will crash when selecting a song, the hotfix MOSTLY fixed the problem but it's still sensitive.

 

I love the fact that it crashes the game, I collect any instruments I run across (even if its a duplicate) and tend to give em to a new joining friend and be like "Play me a song" and then they choose one they shouldn't and BAM peace. Then when they get back on I say "Try again I think it musta been a bug" and BAM they gone. Then I pretend I did something to the server and say "Okay,I think I found the issue, try it once more for me" BAM peace homie.

Oh god, I am a terrible person.

 

Tied notes, slur notes and the key "C Maj" cause the game to crash

Actually ties work now. Don't know about slurs. Spaces in key signatures do cause crashes, remove the space or remove the "maj". The game assumes major key by default. Add a small m without a space to change to minor.
Using letters other than a, b,c ,d, e, f, g, and z will cause crashes as well.
