Pet's should be like D&D familiars, meaning they just give small bonuses and are mainly for fun. 1. Shoulder birds. Bonus if you can train it to talk. 2. A living shadow with glowing red eyes that becomes your shadow. It will move independently of you and occasionally do things behind your back. Also will occasionally show up on the wall behind you and goof off. 3. a sprite/pixie 4. An imp 4. a vegetable lamb 5. every variation of cat and dog you can think of. Especially a Coeurl. I mean, they're in Voyage of the Space Beagle. We need them 6. Tribbles (with a non-copyright name). 7. Uplifted Animals
I support I support this idea, although, would you just tame them (like in Minecraft) with certain items, do you catch them like in some other games (like Pokemon for instance), or by some other means?
I'd say (to further the goal of exploration), you'd have to find them on a world before they'd be available. Then maybe you capture and tame them and, if you have a merchant on your world/station, you they can show up as pets.
