Has there already been a suggestion about having pets or a sidekick or any support npc in the game? If not, it would be an amazing new addition to the game and allow for interesting gameplay. It may even change the course of the way the game is played as well! I was also thinking if the planet had local beings, recruiting aliens from their tribes can be possible if you do side-missions that allows them to recognize you in some special way? Maybe a status for each individual tribe you meet... What do you guys think? Well, pets were announced a long time ago, in the form of tameable enemies, so they will probably be in the game . Check out Blue's list of announced stuff . BTW, I have a thread where people have discussed the idea of including mechanical customizable companions in the game .
