Petition for Chucklefish to stop supporting multiplay

As the title says, you guys are supporting one of the worst game server hosts in the business. Doing so does nothing but tarnish your image.

 

Really? The server my friend rented from them has performed flawlessly thus far.

 

Tarnish would actually be an upgrade for my image.

I have not seen any problems with it so far. I don't know what you're complaining about.

 

My server also works nicely. Besides... server software as well as the client itself is still labeled as being beta. Bad things tend to happen.

 

When you go out of your way making a rather severe accusation and a rather serious request it would help if you actually presented your case with some arguments.
You post this in a general forum, and i have honestly no idea what you are talking about or what your complaint is based on.

 

They seem pretty variable. All the reviews I read had them either as horrible downtime and buggy with terrible customer service, or the best thing ever.

 

Thats because people only post online to whine or complain about stuff. Hardly anyone posts to say they revived good service or anything about it. I use3d multiplay in the past with good results.

HOWEVER..

There are cheaper options out there now. Multiplay is a little pricey compared to most other hosts.

Are you going to post any reasons or just make exaggerations?

 

My friends and I have had no problems with multiplay, without any actual proof, or even an anectdote I find this thread a little silly.

 

I see no formal petition here.

 

I could not manage to get my multiplay server up and running for more than thirty minutes. There's supposed to be a live support but it has been offline for the past week. Associating yourself with that company does not dimnish the quality of the game, it's just makes it harder to enjoy a dedicated server experience. Since it's beta I totally get thatthe game is subject to change and bugs but I feel I've just threw money down the drain.

For people saying that their servers are working fine :

1) Are you using Multiplay services for your dedicated server ?
2) Did you make your server password protected and removed it from the public listings ?
3) What server location are you using (I'm on the Toronto one) ?

Personally, I think they should stop supporting forums. They seem like a bad idea and are clearly going nowhere. And what's this 'twitter' thing I keep hearing about? They should just fax the updates to people.
