Pet Tether not working?

I recently made a pet tether and went to put my pet on it but for some reason my pet doesn't come out and roam or anything. Green sparks appear at the bottom of the pet tether and thats it, can anyone help me figure out if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong?

 

Check and make sure your pet isn't dead. If your pet is dead, you'll have to put it in a healing station first.

 

My pet is fully healed put it still isn't working. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, do I need rope or string or some kind of pedestal?

 

No, you should be able to simply place the filled capture pod inside the pet tether, like a storage container. I've never heard of this problem before.

 

Have you tried restarting starbound? Usually restarting games can fix the problem

I've tried that too and for some reason its still not working QnQ

 

Maybe its because I have it inside? idk I've tried a bunch of stuff and I haven't been able to get it to work

 

Hm, have you tried another pet on the tether? Maybe it's just the one pet that's bugged.

I have and it worked but I had to put the tether two blocks off the ground and the pet just ran back and forth on top of the blocks

 

That's very strange, this happened to me but in physical form, I tried throwing my pet out to help but nothing appeared but in my inventory it said he was out and when I called him back there was no animation my inventory showed no pet, and it randomly solved itself, so I'm not sure how to fix your issue, you may just have to leave the tether alone for a while and see if we can try again later

Actually, if you have a mod it could potentially be a bug in That mod, do you have any mods installed?

Check your log file see if it giving any errors

 

Nope,I usually don't play with mods unless its Skyrim
