    WEEKLY RELEASE #2

    EXTRA SUGGESTION
To better implement the idea of tech-slot items for pets, I just asked myself: why not give pets their very own tech-slot items? This way, you can still keep your whole 5 tech-slots free while STILL personalizing your pets and giving them appreciable boosts! Simply put, I'd suggest 2 kinds of tech-slot pet items: Stats Modifiers and Special Enhancers. Here is a brief description of them both:

LIST OF ITEMS PROPOSED SO FAR:
    (please follow the weekly releases!)

    Stats Modifiers items
    The Berserker Pills
    - Your pets receive 12% of their total damage done per melee attack as HP.

The Frenzy Collar (comes in two models: negative and positive modulation)
    - The first model (with negative modulation) will grant 10% additional damage to your pets for each 5 seconds you avoid getting hit by enemy attacks (a successful block with a shield still counts as “being hit”). Can stack up to 40%. The damage bonus resets completely everytime you get hit.
    - The second model (with positive modulation) will grant 10% additional damage to your pets everytime you get hit by enemy attacks (blocking with a shied still counts as “being hit”). Can stack up to 40%. The pets lose 10% damage bonus (accorded by the Collar) every 5 seconds you don't get hit.

    The Skin-Adoptive Armor
    - +30% max HP to your pets.

    The Boxer's Injection
Weak version - +10% damage done to enemies, small knockback to the pet's attacks.
Average version - +15% damage done to enemies, medium knockback to the pet's attacks.
Strong version - +20% damage done to enemies, big knockback to the pet's attacks.

    The Runner's Injection
Weak version - +10% running speed, pet becomes a little blurry when running.
Average version - +20% running speed, pet becomes much blurry while running.
Strong version - +30% running speed, pet becomes blurry and seemingly has doubles of itself following it while it runs.

    The Ninja's Injection
Weak version - +10% attack speed, +1% attack speed after each successful attack (this bonus resets every time the pet is hit).
Average version - +15% attack speed, +2% attack speed after each successful attack (this bonus resets every time the pet is hit).
Strong version - +20% attack speed, +3% attack speed after each successful attack (this bonus resets every time the pet is hit).

    The Sumo's Injection
Weak version - +10% resistance to damage, 15% less knockback from enemy attacks.
Average version - +15% resistance to damage, 30% less knockback from enemy attacks.
Strong version - +20% resistance to damage, 45% less knockback from enemy attacks.

    Special Enhancers items
    The Diamond Spray
    - Long-range attacks of your pets will pierce through two enemies before possibly hitting a third one.
    - Use of the Diamond Spray as whipped cream has a 93% chance to kill you.

    The Explosive Implants
    - The overall damage of the explosion is determined by a really scientific calculation that considers all the pet's stats together.
    - The exploding pet will deal 100% explosion damage to all enemy creatures within 5 tiles of it, 50% to all enemy creatures between 5 and 8 tiles of it and 25% to enemy creatures between 8 and 10 tiles away.
    - The resulting explosion has a strong knockback that sends enemies flying away the closer they are to the center of the blast.

    The Rejuvational Cube
    - Your pets will resurrect one minute after their deaths with 25% of their max HP.
    - Your pets will reappear next to you, not where they died.

    The Telekinesis Gloves
    - Left-click and hold on one of your pets to drag them around with your cursor. This can be used to move them rapidly all over the screen.
    - The gloves drain some of your battery energy when they are used. The more time you use them, the more energy you lose.

    The Magnetic Bounds
    - When your pets are more than 15 blocks away from you, in any direction, a magnetic chain will immediatly appear between you and them and pull them back to you in an instant. They will keep being pulled back until the gap is shortened enough.
    - If their path is blocked by anything that can stop them from reaching you while you are more than 15 blocks away, your pets will immediatly teleport right next to you.

SPECIAL THANKS TO NIRN AND DRAGONITH FOR THEIR ARTISTIC SUPPORT AND FOR BEING THE MOST AWESOME BEINGS ALIVE!!!!

This is intense. I'm not sure what exactly is going on here, but that's probably because I require sleep. But I shall all of this thoroughly after I have my coffee tomorrow!:coffee: But so far: The Sorcerer approves  Now, I must go to sleep before I face plant my keyboard again.

Um, wow. This is amazing. I think this might be the longest (and one of the most detailed) suggestions I have ever seen. And that chart is awesome. I haven't read all of it yet, but from what I can tell, it's pretty a pretty great idea (must resist urge to swear :halo:). I'm gonna reread it when it's not really late where I am and I'm more aware, but yes. Just yes.

Heh, thanks a lot for the nice comments. :)
Yeah, totally could be awesome to move your pets around .That's what I thought when I had this item idea! xD

The only problem I see is with the explosive implants. Since pets don't actually die, they just get taken back to your space station when they run out of health. Other than that, your other ideas are pretty good.

  8. Sirnak

    Sirnak Scruffy Nerf-Herder

In fact no, they are not taken to the space station when they die. Tiy stated that, once KO'ed, your pets go "to rest" in some special slots on your character and you, the player, have to go to your Space Station to revive them. :)

Well, THAT, or I pretty much failed my researches before making the catalogue. xD

Meh, either way, they don't actually die. Besides, I wouldn't want to see the pet that I spent so much time on training blow up. But, that's just me. Also, that basically makes your space station a pokemon center

I read it again, and this time with my delicious coffee :coffee:. This is absolutely wonderful! I especially like the telekinesis gloves!

Doesn't it? xD Yeah, I know what you mean about your pets exploding. I was mainly trying to invent items that could all have some use or be fun at some point. Not that I want my pets to explode either mind you, hehe.

I would love my pets to explode. Especially if they were penguins.

Opposing Force is such a great game

Question...why one of consumables items type have to be deadly against you? It be simple if we just add plated armor on our pets so that way they be so tanky or at lest have some fire power or able ride on it <.< I mean common logic back then they used pets to fight yes...but they also add few things to pets protection at lest.

Simply put, the "catalogue description" is there for humoristic purposes. I wanted to think about items for pets and pets only, but some item ideas I had had little logical reasons why humans/avians/apexes/etc. couldn't use them. Based on that, I just used the humor I already tried to insert in the catalogue to give reasons why some of these items can't be used on the player, reasons like "it'd be deadly on you if you use it, SO DON'T". But yeah, as I already said, that's only there for humoristic/atmospheric purposes.

I just don't doubt that the Starbound devs already implemented a lot of cools items for the tech slots, but I don't think they imagined something pet-oriented yet (or maybe they did, who knows?). So my suggestions aim mainly for the pets. Of course, if the devs ever find my suggestions interesting and worthy to be implemented, they could perfectly well extend the effects of the items to the human player as well and tweek everything like they want. As for me, I aim mainly at pet suggestions for now since it is the objective I gave myself while making this "catalogue".

Hope that answered your question. :)

I keep on thinking that conquership says courtship whenever I look at the title of this thread. Does that make me weird?

    *UPDATE TIME AGAIN!*
(This is based on another suggestion thread I made recently before deciding to fuse it with this thread.)

As of now, I'll use a part of my intro post to classify my pet-items suggestions into Stats Modifier or the Special Enhancer categories.

    *EXTRA UPDATE!!!*
Seeing how there was a lack of Stats Modifiers items, I decided to make a small pack of those. Another weekly update is coming out soon as well. Please look forward to it. I present you the Vitamin Injections Pack:
