The idea is that when you get to a certain stage in development of your planet, you need more workers. I think there should be a system in which you could construct robots to do your bidding, including making HUGE orbital drop walkers to foot soldiers on the front lines. There are so many possibilities! In fact, my idea is to be able to customize them. Its like this: 1. You customize your robots with a robot factory. You interact with the factory, which brings up a GUI showing robot designs. If you don't have any, you click "new design". You then choose a body, head, legs, arms, weapons, armor, and "modules". Modules include things like power sources to targeting systems. 2. You then choose to have the design built once or mass produce it. Its better to just build it once starting out because then you can test its strengths and weaknesses. Mass producing will make the robots and put them in storage for you to deploy them at teleport pads placed on a battlefield, etc. When you need to get rid of some, you just command them to come back to your base and you can scrap them once they have returned to storage for more resources. 3. The robots can also mine for you. And in case you are wondering, I got the idea of orbital drops from Halo because I love the Scarabs
That's interesting and I think armies of robots are cool. But, when would you need a robot army? Also, I think being able to use them to mine would make the game too easy.
I like the idea, but maybe have each different part have is weaknesses and strengths, so you can combat a faction that has a lot of air force but not much infantry with robots with missiles that can destroy air force easily, but not infantry!
It would be an advanced thing, and think about it. Do you really believe you can conquer a galaxy all on your own?
I really like this idea, maybe you could have some sort of transport ship to transport worker or fighter droids to the battle field. and maybe you could have a leader droid that you remote control that you can give orders from
agree, but even thou there is lycan ppl <.< which I suggested on that of rebellion which you may need a robots army after all...sometime you might fight biggest monster ever in the other planet...
