[Description]
This modifications adds an entirely new standalone NPC to your game!
She is a bachelorette from Rune Factory 3. She is also known as Pia in some versions of the game.
This mod strives to reimplement her into Stardew Valley, attempting to replicate her whimsical nature as close as possible while attempting to make the character fit into the Stardew Valley Context.

Currently she is pretty much a potato, but she is getting there.

[Currently Implemented Features]

• She is functional as a standalone NPC, she is not a reskin
• She currently attends all the events, she doesn't participates in activities yet
• She has a basic schedule, this takes time to write but will be expanded on
• She has unique dialogue for everyday of the year, with some exceptions
• Her disposition resembles her RF3 rendition, feed her squid

How to install
- Install SMAPI 1.15.1
- Follow readme included

Notes
- Has not been tested with any other mods, combine with disgression.
- You will probably want to backup your save file, or better yet just use a new save until I figure out how to use Entoarax's Framework
- The game seems to stop reading her unique dialogue lines after year 1, so you might want a new save file to see her dialogue till I figure this out

Update 5/11/16: She now has unique dialogue for everyday of the year.

 

YESSSSS omg I have been waiting for a mermaid npc!!! I can't wait until she's marriageable!! Honestly I've wished for actual mythical creature bachelors/bachelorettes for a long time, I wish there were more!

 

This is really cool, would you be willing to create a male counterpart?
Ive never played Rune Factory but i like the look and concept around this character and would be willing to add more people to my valley!

 

I don't think she had a male counterpart in RF3, nor am I creative enough to imagine one. I'll consider adding a male RF character after this one is done.

Did you make the portrait or is that from RF3? (I played RF3 but I don't remember who my waifu was. Pia was among my top 3 though)

 

She isn't showing up in game for me

 

Mini-Update 17/12/16: Updated to SMAPI 1.4, fixed up her gift tastes so she is no longer cannibalising fish.

If the portrait was from RF3, it would look better.

Updated the code, so now she should appear for you (hopefully). And yes, she loves squid

 

Oh how cute! It would be cool have non-human characters to marriage, because... well, because it's a game and we can :v

I see this is still a work in progress, but the portrait is bothering me a little, sorry, I needed to say this xD It would be awesome if you can give her a more Stardew Valley look so she looks more integrated!
I'll be following the progress of this mod!

 

Aha yeah, my drawing is very subpar and takes ages to do. Cutscenes and etc is taking a while to push out since I am drawing her some extra sprites. I will give her a look revamp after I add everything else, since drawing takes ages to do

 

programming sounds like a tough work... feeling like you can break the game at any time... :S at least it is how I feel, that's why I'm not a programmer xD

I'm working on another project, but if you need help with the drawing part I can try to help you, so you can work entirely with the programming part

So a problem - she is not showing up, though I followed directions. I also tried to copy the .xnb to any place there are character files/portraits, and that still didn't make her show up but it did give me an error crash on talking to my farmer's husband, Sebastian.

Could it be that I'm on Year 3 on that file? Do I need to start a new file for her to show up?

It's working nice for me, I'm in year 3 too, that's not the problem. Maybe you're not installing it right? try to install it again and if it still not working send me a PM and I'll try to help you

 

I found a bug when I started a new game. On 7th of spring when I go to sleep the game crashes with this message

It works without problems with my other save, where I'm in year 3, she just says "hi" all the time, but at least won't breaks the game... I hope you can fix it or help me to fix it, and I hope you'll update the mod soon

 

I get the red text in my SMAPI box too and it just doesn't load, she doesn't show up. And that happened before my error crash

 

Getting back to modding, so here is a

Mini Update 22/08/17: Updated to SMAPI 1.15.1, fixed Dialogue looping for years 2 and above.

I can't seem to replicate your crashes. I would assume there was mod conflicts which may have caused it.

 

Update 25/08/17 v0.0.5 - Finally updated the art, hopefully she blends in more. Now I can focus on mechanics.

Also added mirrors as I realise not everyone has a forum account to access downloads.
