I love this idea. A compound/alloy list would also be useful.
I like the idea. Actually just for some ideas recently a Minecraft mod was doing something like that and its amazing how many wonderful ideas the modding community can offer just random ideas for other games to be apart of.
Took me a while to remember the name here it is Minechem.
Here is a silly one I found randomly on google for random ideas haha:
As long as their is Uranium...
On a related note, shall we eventually have some kind of heiarchy so we know what certain items are better for? (ex: Chemical X is significantly more powerful for melee weapons than Element X but Element X is more potent for magical weapons.)
A little something for the completionists plus a lovely decoration for the logs. With so many planets, imagine how many there could be? Just one thing... what about the compounds? They always get left out.
It's little things like this that I really love, barely effect the gameplay but it adds extra colour to the game itself.
Rarest mineral only found on the lollipop planet.
People can create new elements and officially name the element and is implented to other multiplayer worlds.
Thanks for all the support guys.
This is a great idea!
Definitely! I love slowly filling up maps like these, and it would make sense not to be able to distinguish every ore the second you set your eye on it. +1
Renaming the elements would be fine I think. New element, no simply because there isn't anywhere on the periodic table they'd fit. Unless they're extremely heavy, transuranic elements. While I like the fiction in science fiction, I wouldn't go so far as to have completely different elements. (Renaming them isn't an issue as regardless of the name, yet have the same properties depending on the number of protons, electrons and neutrons they have. Helium by any other name still makes your voice high pitched. xD)
I agree. I would really like this idea implemented
Elements are always fun until you hit a chlorine deposit
As for new elements, how about... Terrarium?
Plantanium is a grown crystalline substance easily the consistency of titanium. That way when I make spike pits around my place, I can line it with this and not worry too much about them breaking! Just a little water, salt, and the crystals will grow right back.
Sadly it wouldn't work for an element... what would we keep our tiny captive pets in?
"Elements are always fun until you hit a Terrarium deposit."
I like it.
Unless its a Terrarium deposit full of evil spiders. Then you'll be sorry.
God I hate slimes.
