Just saying any of them are good is completely idiot, because YOU DONT PLAYED THEM YES WE ARE HYPED but NO this doesnt mean the game will be good or not so STOP saying "HURR STARBOUND WILL BE GOTY" "HURR EDGE OF ZPAZEZz IS SO GUUD" you CAN and MUST be hyped but dont say anything you arent 100% sure, and ignore YTB comments 99,5% are completely stupid

 

I know, but the example is people hate on you and think there better but when you go to there channel it looks like Detroit..

Fact is, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Myself, I much prefer to play and enjoy BOTH games for what they are. Whether or not Joe Public down the road wants to do the same doesn't concern me. Their loss if they're too busy making rude comments and miss out on great games.

 

The problem is that Youtube is incredibly easy to make an account on and it is one of the most popular sites on the Internet. Unfortunately, they have no community filters, either.

 

Here here. While I hope the game is a huge success, I'm not overly concerned that my friends, colleagues or girlfriend wont play. Although my friends probably will... by which I mean I'll make them.

The same way you can't talk with this people is the reason you can't use logic arguments with religious fanatics , they won't ever listen to you or to reason.

 

And honestly, like others have mentioned, Edge of Space doesn't look too good. I mean, it looks alright, but not like, "Woah! That's awesome!" That's just me though.
Hopefully, Starbound's content and diversity will make it leaps and bounds over Edge of Space.

 

Comparing an unreleased game to an unreleased game is stupid. How can you compare two games that you can't play yet? People who talk about how this unreleased game sucks and another unreleased game is better are ignorant fools. Wait until both games are finished, then play them both before you compare.

You can compare them with information you have.
But when you do that you're oftentimes wrong.

 

I'm kinda staying away from this whole Edge of Space, I mean, I'll get it. But... I think things are about to get messy with these two games.

 

Well, I used gameplay videos from Edge of Space as well as released information, pictures, and the video from Starbound. It's not enough to make an accurate conclusion, but it's just based on what I've seen. And I guess I'll take the ignorant fool part as a complement being I'm from Mississippi. We get called much worse things.

 

Can't say I'm surprised. In fact, I predicted this much was gonna happen in another thread. My stance remains the same, though. People are gonna choose which game they like more, and the zealous fanboys are going to get up-in-arms about it and attack the other one for no reason. (Being a fanboy isn't a problem. Being a zealot and willing to go to war over a video game is kind of weird.)

A bit aside the topic, Hero seems fine with telling viewers to spam other channels about Edge of Space, so...I predict the first stones will be cast on this particular forum, and that we'll see "Starbound is just a rip off on Edge of Space. Edge of Space did this first and Starbound copied it." Threads. I just urge you guys not to feed into those types of things. Several games have gotten their publicity by starting "Wars" with other games of similar genres, and those games responding. That's just publicity. Just something to keep an eye out for.

Also: Youtube: Where men are men, girls are men, and women belong in the kitchen. Don't take anything they say too seriously.

 

Well I haven't gotten any "Hero" "Edge of Space" spam on my channel or videos yet, so I guess thats a good sign... Then again I'm only a small channel and my videos are only viewed a small selection of the Starbound community

But anyways, trolls will be trolls, they will always be there, even if there isn't a reason. There just happens to be more when there is a "reason". But like Sokina said, don't feed the trolls.

 

Yup, some people just like to see others getting mad over the internet. Hiding behind the computer laughing, arguing won't stop them.

 

I like to see other people making other people angry. It's often funny to see.
