People need to realize that ignoring others is extremely rude

At this point yes we must take every precaution against griefers, and never go into parties lightly.

HOWEVER, when someone joins a server and spawns on a planet all alone and trying to get into contact with others. It is extremely rude to ignore them and carry on your conversation in global chat.

I was just in a server and ran into this situation, I asked nicely for like 5 minutes straight for some directions yet nobody said a word back, they just kept talking about their iron ores and bosses. I can understand if you don't invite me, at least tell me which planet are you on, or very least, say that you don't want me on your planet!

Instead they just kept gagging on and completely ignore my requests. So I was pissed off, I started spamming the chat to provoke them and baited them into giving off their coordinates. I then flew to their planet and killed all of them with my anti-griefer gears. Another one of them invited me in an attempt to grief my ship, however my ship was completely grief-proof and I knew he was going to do that, so I beamed to his ship and immediately mined,looted all of his boxes and lockers. I then beamed back to my ship, and what do you know, he was trying to get through my anti-grief system and already stole some of my cheap decorations.

I should add that the only reason they gave me their cords was because they wanted to kill me. It was in sector x so they must have thought there was no way I could go there and even if I could they would be able to gang up on me and kill me first.

Please, I want to be nice but I have limits like everyone does. I'm sure the guy that tried top grief my ship does not go around griefing anybody else's ship. But to keep that from happening we need to treat others decently. You don't have to play with everyone who ask for it. But at the very least say "no" instead of the silent treatment. It is just so rude for someone who has no grudge against you.

 

sounds like that server isn't for you. and that's ok. find one that you fit in with rather than force yourself upon people that obviously have no interest in newcomers.

 

Yup I have to agree that they were rude. But does not really justify your actions. exaggerated example: irl, omg you ignores me?! That's rude! I pull out my shotguns! Die! and hope you don't respawns! hahaha! ;p

Also, I'd like to point out that a server admin can do whatever he wants with his server because he pays for it. For better or worse, that includes screwing with you on his server. If you don't like that, Pinkie Pie above has solved your woes.

Yeah... perhaps you should look over what you posted again, buddy. As much as I agree that they should of at least helped you with some coordinates, you acted the worst that anybody possibly could due to just being snubbed, all because they were occupied with talking about their own thing. It's a bit of a shame that you are acting like a victim in this scenario, when you are the one causing the most issues for such an insignificant slight. Your statement of 'I want to be nice' contradicts your actions.

You should try joining a server with friends instead? It sounds like you were horrible! When they finally listened you threw a tantrum and took their stuff. Not everyone is playing to play with you, you know.

In the unlikely event that you are not, you are being so much worse than they are. Okay, so they ignore you. You then proceed to spam the chat, find them, grief them, keep griefing them, and make a self congratulatory post on the forums. You are immature, angry and in need of social skills. I suggest playing solo until you get your attitude in check.
