Patch to be Released on "Monday or so"!

...so, which monday are they talking about? - This monday, next monday... an arbitrary monday in 6 months time?

Or is this a trick date, like "last thursday"

 

Image has 17th of January "This Monday" and "next Monday" are the same thing. Unless you're like me and say "This coming" instead of "This." Even then, I usually say "This past" if I'm referencing to the monday of this week if it has already past.

Since in the USA, weeks start on Sundays... it would be this monday, since right now, it's Sunday, January 19th in the USA

Already been shown in this thread that it almost definitely won't be this Monday, though.

Am I the only one feeling like it wasn't even ready for beta, and they just shoved it out to meet the whole "end of 2013" promise? As it stands since it has come out, there hasn't been a huge incentive to get involved in playing/deep testing since we're forever stuck waiting on an impending wipe that remains "imminent" forever.

 

Tell that to Aura Kingdom and Fiesta Online.

 

I know this isn't a serious (completely anyway) post.
But given that there has been a round about time of this monday and this estimate was given after a monday. Thereby implying that the coming monday is the one intended. Followed up with the the tweet on tuesday stating that the update is "about a week away" gives quite substantial context clues to it being this monday 20/1/14 or at least early this week.

And if the update isn't released tonight/tomorrow for me, I will be a little disappointed. I have plans to play with my friend and do a lot of creative building.

Cheers mate, I always wanted to actually listen to this song, instead of just putting up with little sound bites that we tend to hear everywhere.

 

I know, been a long wait. But I have a feeling that will be changing after this patch.

Would be nice to see them coming faster, but we also have to take into account a reasonable delay for the holidays. With Christmas and New Years so close together, a lot of people take that time off for vacation and family. We probably would have got the update a week or two ago if not for the holidays. Also, this is a bit more than just an "update". From what I understand it's a HUGE update/patch that has some very important code changes and features going in (like no more wipes). I look at it as ChuckleFish taking the extra time to try to appease the fans by making it where we don't have to have any more wipes.

Anywho, they did mention too that they are working with some Steam integration something-or-other to allow for very quick and seamless regular content updates.

 

nah you are wrong there people in production tend to get longer and tbh most people with families will take extra time off during the holiday period as well so basically apart from about 75% of the population then yes everyone was working

6 updates in december. Was pretty fast then. So they've had a break from fast updates, most likely due to the big push to get the "No more wipes" patch designed, coded, tested, fixed, tested, fixed, tested, fixed and pushed live.

I'm confident they'll go back to frequent updates after this patch, but then I was here when they were doing them.

 

Have you never worked in the service industry? Holidays are only times where you sell more/less, not time off. Probably only work half a day on the day of whatever holiday, but yeah.

That sounds amazing, it just sucks that I happened to get here just in time to fall into this gap. Oh well, over soon I suppose.

 

20+ years experiance in the service sector (publican nightclub restaurant etc) but as you will see from my comment i made no mention of the service . all production areas i have worked in closed down for a minimum of 10 days over the holiday period
