Hmmm. I suppose this lowers the estimate to 2015.

 

Hopefully this pulls us out of the 2-3 week long "week" we have been in.
Its like groundhog day around here.

 

What 2-3 week long week are you talking about? It was announced Tuesday last week (14/1/14) that the update is "about a week away"
So by my estimate of how long a week is. They're about right on schedule for a week long week.

 

Yeah I'm not believing that 'til I actually see it downloading.

 

That's cool, I'm not going to argue. But I bought downloaded a game that said updates were coming hot and fast nearly a month ago, and I haven't seen one. But I have heard whispers of it being close the entire time. Meh...

 

I hope it comes out tomorrow or the day after. The wait has been pretty long, but this update should be very big.

 

Updates were happening before the christmas / new year break.
Updates are starting again after the christmas / new year break.
The Dev team are human too, and quite probably have families of their own to see and deserve a break.
Or did you work 24/7 over christmas and new year?

 

I'm going to make a conservative estimate of Wednesday.

 

I'd go so far as to say a majority of working people did work over most of that 'break.' It's pretty standard for people not either in school or working in education to only get Christmas eve/day and New Years day off work. I get that you're probably still going to school and all, but the rest of the world doesn't shut down for two weeks or more.

 

Its understandable that they did not work on the game during the holidays. But its not the holidays anymore.

 

I graduated from school nearly 10 years ago.
The dev team HAVE been working over the last few weeks. On Bugfixes and everything else in the update. Which is kinda why there is an update happening.

 

Yes they have. But no update has been released yet.

 

Excuse me but less than a month since the last patch is not a sin you know

I'm excited to finally put some time in. I played for several hours this weekend & then fired up Terraria but it wasn't the same after Starbound.

And you assume I'm complaining? Who knows maybe I am.

Fast and hot updates obviously wont happen though. This would be the only thing I would criticise Chucklefish over.
