Patch notes for Starbound v. Furious Koala

I think setting your spawn should be done with an item or something, like a beacon or transmitter that you have to place. Sound good?

 

So let me get this straight, they released patch notes for a patch that isn't out yet? That's a dirty trick.

No but seriously, what is the point of doing that besides more useless hype?

 

because hype is bad for development right?

This forum must have a very curvy mood graph. It slowly goes up whenever there is even the tiniest hint of the patch actually coming "soon" untill it reaches a peak in excitement and hype... and then it plummets when people get impatient and angry again.

Let's stay on the up curve this time shall we?

Altough i can wait a bit more, considering how much this patch will bring to the game

 

I think I'll survive.

Still annoyed that I put effort into figuring out how to update the mods I use manually only to not be able to test them.

Oh well, not like this update is bringing in the major changes I want anyway, like key remapping, deleting saves in-game, ocean planets, bigger ships, etc.

Edit: Also in my experience with actively updating games, patch notes are usually released after the patch but if we're mixing it up with this game, I guess I know for the future.

those patch notes were a rough draft posted by omni via IRC - technically speaking, they've been leaked and we havnt had official patch notes yet

this patch was mostly behind the scenes stuff...i'm guessing the flashy fancy stuff will come now this ones been done and dusted

Or the word "upcoming" means "several patchs released in the future" ? Cuz the patch notes didn't mentioned anything from the above info.
