is it useless to sketch on paper since we got high-tech sketch pads?

    Wait what?

Well I think paper is still relevant even with tablets. I sketch on paper. Paper has a different feeling from wacom tablets.

Some do. It's a preference thing. But everyone regardless sketches on paper from time to time. Some people sketch their work on paper before transferring to digital.

I'm still trying to understand what is better. I'm not used to drawing on a tablet, and honestly I don't draw very well even on a paper. But I guess I have to learn how to use a tablet, I'm to lazy to redraw everything from the scratch.

You get used to it fairly quickly. It's really awkward at first. It's pretty much like sex.

I guess it does? It's pretty good.

  17. Tons of pros claim to have never actually sketched on paper for years. Even I only got my tablet this Christmas, and already it feels about as natural as paper sketches.

The good thing about paper is you can sketch while taking a dump.

  19. You can probably do the same with a digital tablet: where there's a will there's a way. I'll send pics.

Please don't.... I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say we'd rather see your art work than your fecal excretion skills :I

In terms of my preference... I do my sketches on paper and do the final on my tablet. The thing about paper is that you can chuck it around when you get frustrated. (Most tablets don't bounce. .~.)
