Hey all, being relatively new to creating sprites and etc. I wasn't aware of how much hard work it actually is! Nor do I believe that I can continue without a veteran's guiding (or helping) hand. I recently asked site member Bietol if I could use his/her Hiraki Corale - Shinobi design to create a vanity item, to which they gave me the okay! I have competed a wig and upper torso that I am happy with and seem to work, the problem (as you can see by the forum title) is the pants. By god these pants... Basically the problem I'm having is that the pants I have created are an eyesore and don't seem to look right (looks like the feet are doing the flop) and I am begging asking a kind and experienced soul for assistance.
Shirts are even worse. We help mostly with code around here, this question might get a better response in the art forum. What about it aren't you satisfied with? For Starbound-style pixel art it isn't half bad. It's not like we get a ton of pixels to play with, anyway.
Thanks for replying so quickly - it basically looks terrible in-game :I Like the feet are flopping and the pixel detail makes your eyes hurt when they move; literal eyesore
Troubleshooting art is an art in itself. If the feet animations look bad, your next step is to isolate bad frames. Then, fiddle with them. Consider using the human starter pants as a reference, they're very plain and make excellent templates.
