My idea is that you could craft a paint brush or a paint roller and paint a side of a block or the whole block. This way you could have a wooden block that was blue but it would still have the original texture, This could be implemented to painting armor, weapons, the space station, and vehicles. This would make it easier to customize things but still make you work for it.
If players could have the option to paint any blocks different colors it would really expand the building and design opportunities for people working on massive building projects. It would also benefit people who just want some more creativity in their design options even if they aren't very expressive builders.
Damn, sure hope there will be all colors of the rainbow in the game, ability to paint anything and everything lol. Paint everything pink, even the mobs and yourself.
