Overcrowded planet - no landing

This tundra world is chock full of villages. When I attempted to land there, the teleporter took an abnormally long time and then just popped me back on my ship. So the planet with all that stuff is a pointless addition to the game, because nothing will ever come of it.

Is there a procedure to regenerate worlds with slightly different parameters?

Are you running mods, by any chance? I've never seen so many villages spawn on a single planet playing vanilla.

What proportion of the player base uses vanilla?

I don't know, and that wasn't what I asked about.

Never seen this in vanilla. So it's probably modded?

I usually see a max of three main 'settlements' in the game. Whether they are villages, dungeons or other things. Not counting the little hunts and random stuff you find on the surface too.

Just out of curiosity, what mod are you using that shows the details of the planet as such? And no, I don't know of such a way to regenerate a planet. You could try to delete the planet's file in your universe folder but that has iffy chances of success.

I recently accidently deleted that mod because there was incompatibility going on with my mods, so I started messing around with getting rid of some stuff. I know for certain that mod wouldn't create problems, but I happen to have deleted it anyway, because derp. I'll try and find it, and if I do I'll tell you.

No, I use steam for my mods. It doesn't work quite like that...

Directly, no. Worlds are generated based on seeds, and the only way to alter those seets is by literally altering the whole universe generation to some degree. But that would alter EVERYTHING about your universe generation from then on. You wouldn't be able to follow anyone's coordinates.
