What are your hopes and dreams for a Starbound port? I may get one for Starbound. Without SB though the chances are much slimmer. Much much slimmer. Who else is hoping for some kind of official game modding support? Steambox style. If there was some way to enable/add mods onto Starbound (or any game), this would definitely be a Starbound box for me. What about you?

    Ouya with 4 players - $250

PS Vita with 4 players - $1.5 million.

Sarcasm aside for a second, the potential to support mods is why I even consider Ouya. The PS Vita would need to have mods distributed as Starbound DLC. Direct from Chucklefish. So it would be possible but Chucklefish would have to screen the mods and put together a DLC mod pack. Which really isn't the best way.

I consider Psivita because of it's dual analog stick and endless possibilities of dual touch screen and even it takes alot of time to put starbound in the PSvita i would wait

    Left Analog : Movement
    Right Analog : Aim
    Triangle : Interact/ Put item
    X : Jump
Square : Switch weapon/item to the left
Circle : Switch weapon/item to the right
    L : Fire/Slash/Shield
    R : Fire/Slash/Shield
Touch Screen (front) : Putting an item by touching the screen/Inventory screen/Setting/Zoom in and out
Touch Screen (back) : Auto fire/Aim
Controller : Scroll through items in the inventory/storage

    I think it's perfect!! *Q*

If there is a port it damn well better be on something portable. Everyone with a computer from the past 10 years or so can apparently run Starbound, so I don't see any reason to put it on another home device.

If I can't hold it in two hands it isn't portable. Good luck trying to play Starbound with a trackpad.

As neat as that would be, I seriously doubt the 3DS has the specs needed for Starbound.
Sad, because I strain to justify my 3DS's existence.

The problem with DS or PSV is the same problem major console gamers have with Skyrim. Mod support. If Ouya found a way to allow modding. That would be huge.

Edit: and it's $99. That's dedicated Starbound box price range for me.

Edit 2: We are all aware of the update cycle promised. Monthly SB content updates. How does those portables handle updates to titles? What if there were smaller weekly updates to SB how would that be handled with those portables? Would you have to wait for the team to "get around" to submitting update packages. And receive updates later than everyone else.

Be interesting. I do hope the OUYA does will, it would be interesting. Starbound would be interesting to see on the OUYA.

Were not saying to released SB in Psvita AFTER THE SB RELEASED in PC, that's just dumb especially when there's only few people working on a game, I can pretty much wait like 1-2 years to port SB to Psvita and it will be the whole update game.

I wish I could program better because i think a silly little NES-like demake would be fun.

Not sure if it could handle Starbound, though. If it could, I would be interested, but I'm not touching the Ouya with a 10 foot pole.
