By reading some small amount of comments i am lead to believe that people are still capable of gameplay whilst we are waiting for this update to be released is this correct?

Just thought i'd ask as i'd hate to be missing out on gameplay! My mac hasn't been opening Starbound since the update was said to be done.

 

Glad I'm not the only one. The mechanics seem to be there after all. Just throw in some extra animations or something, shit, I dunno. Spinning the flashlight in circles seems easy enough, so why not a sword, spear or shield?

 

Yes we can still play but what's the point if the char's will be wiped

 

Simply skip your eyes over the offending posts my dear. This whole thread has been off topic for ages. I agree we should try to keep it to patch related stuff, but really, relax. The more people keep talking about it, the more it's going to keep coming up.

On that note, i am terribly terribly excited about this dang patch. Haven't played at all today!

Yeah, you know, the eight directions shooting style of gameplay. Like in Contra, where you can shoot up, down and in diagonals.
For swords and melee weapons, it'd mean you'd be able to swing them in all directions, not just left and right.

My stupid bodyclock woke me up about 6 hours earlier than usual just to check the patch was here.. and it's not.

And now I can't get back to sleep. sigh.

 

Coding in action? I'd be inclined to say that the patch won't be anywhere near done at least til this coding stops Could be unrelated to the patch, though, too..
