I was wondering something... What version(s) of DirectX does Starbound use?

Actually, I've noticed that if you don't cut a tree a whole way down (meaning you leave at least a stump still planted) they continue to grow.

 

Sure, i wouldnt do it even if I knew it would work, i would like to start over again and see how the new system plays out.
Besides, to get where I am now in the game i had to cut some corners i would not normally have cut, because the system was flawed and the progression stopped up (ores not spawning where they should spawn etc).

Im really looking forward to starting over again, just like Minecraft, the most fun part of the game is the beginning, where you dont have anything and you make it work with what you have

What will happen if I go to my Starbound folder and copy the data of Characters before the update? Would I avoid the character wipe or would it crash the game?

Hey guys, this is my first post on these forums - I admit I haven't read through all 52 pages (only 30 or so, ha) but I felt like I wanted to state my own opinion as well.

Starbound is a game of gigantic proportions and offers the player a lot to do and enjoy. Even though it already receives updates with new content and better gameplay, it has potential to become even greater. It's really quite amazing what has been put together here!

However, regarding the upcoming update... It is quite sad to see our characters/worlds vanish into thin air. I run a youtube channel with a friend of mine and since we haven't uploaded anything in about a month, I decided to upload some footage (available here) that showcases our own creation - New Home. We're gonna miss it!

You can skip my lame intro speech if you don't feel like listening to it and check out what we've built instead.

No telling, they haven't put forth a time. Ty mentioned on Twitter that they were aiming for today, but that's the only official word so far.

 

Still having trouble with last-minute server setup stuff on things.
