This new update looks fun to test. I just hope it addresses the issue with having to beam from your ship multiple times before it finally lets you go down to the planet. Oh and beaming to other people's ships should require the owners permission just like joining groups, griefers can easily steal from other players with the current system (I know it's beta, all the more reason to fix a problem before it starts)
Right.. that's it, I was wondering why my theory seemed too complicated lol.. The coordinates are just a seed that insert the planet in your universe.
I kinda want them to make planets universal, I entered the coordinates of a planet my friend was on since we had been building a base and it didn't even exist on my map.
Anyway we can have some sort of salvager? A way to break down weapons that were made or weapons/armor found to get a fraction of the materials they were made with? Also, How about adding an extra step to crafting weapons to add a bit of depth? Maybe making blades/hilts/barrels and such and being able to modify weapons using different materials? Just a thought!
That would actually be impossible to realise in any reasonable amount of time. Perhaps if they had a year to work solely on that feature. Nice thought, though.
Four Techs used simultaneously? What about the ones that require the F key? Before this, this game needs the option of Key Configuration.
Hey come on now, I'm not even in the same category as disel there. That is just some grade A crazy there.
I don't know what you where talking about when you said "Level 11 minibosses now drop guns", but i'm playing for more than 12 hours now, reached the gamma sector long ago and still do not own a single gun. armor still leather because not enough gold or anything else to find anywhere and I really do not have the nerves to spend days underground for only 6 more defense, leaving every mob onehitting me. AND i did find .. wait for it .. ONE npc village in my whole time playing starbound. so where am i supposed to get new gear when not crafted out of hilariously rare ores? i hope all of this will be fixed with the next update..
You hope that *what* will be fixed? Planets are random. There are threads here with "more interesting" planets, if you need a quick leg-up at the start of the game. Most of the universe is pretty uninteresting. When there are a quadrillion possible worlds to visit, chances are that you're going to find a lot of uninteresting ones. If all you found was interesting worlds full of treasure, it would get old pretty fast.
No, that post wasn't feedback. I admit I could have worded it better. It was not directed at Chucklefish, it was directed at the casual players that are clearly responsible for Chucklefish caving in and implementing the system; those that whined to no end about the death penalty. My next post clearly explained what is wrong with the system with what was actually my feedback regarding it. The death penalty is absolutely negated by the banking system. What's losing a thousand or so pixels when you have five hundred thousand in the bank, safely tucked away with no risk of loss? Nothing, it's a spec on the radar, negligible. It didn't work in Terraria and it won't work here. As for your second point, it was an exaggeration however... Here's the thing. You are absolutely right that pixels aren't used for much, which is why the banking system is a problem. Getting pixels is easy, even from dying multiple times I hardly ever fall below 10k pixels. All this system will do is over-inflate the amount of seemingly useless pixels. I have more pixels than I have a use for now, the banking system will just make it even worse. Which is why if they really want to appease those that hate the death penalty, they should just remove it instead of creating a whole new problem. Though I'm done arguing about this. I don't like the change, but I'll have to live with it regardless. I'll just have to wait till they add a feature you don't like and then laugh hysterically at how we are both SOL. Because after all, trying to please everyone pleases no one. PS: I never once implied or acted like I was some sort of saint in the matter. You chose to perceive it that way, in which case is on you.
