Apparently I was unclear in my message. I never said he was below dealing with. Although I can see how you would think that looking back on my post, it seems like there is some unneeded hostility in there that I didn't intend. I guess I just didn't like the hypocrisy of him coming on here and voicing a complaint about the banking system while belittling others who would enjoy it.
Well our profiles are being wiped, does that mean the planets are being jacked up as well? I just dumped all of my gear on a planet and I wrote down the coordinates so I could just fuel my new ship and get my stuff from there. Not sure if that will work but hey worth a shot.
Please add the nova kid asap cant wait to play as that race but this update sounds cool and i can't wait for it to come out.
All planets are randomly generated and you won't run into the same one again. So no, you won't get your duplicated gear.
Well that's wrong, clearly you can go to the same planet that someone else has been to. I'm pretty sure the planets are always wiped clean for each individual character and that's why my stuff wont be there. But you can go to the same planet that some random player has been to.. just enter coordinates. Go to 59877410, -70634402, and if you walk to the left you'll eventually find an anchor which leads up to a pirate ship, because everyone has that planet in their universe. Every planet that is generated I think is added to the universe of Starbound for EVERYONE to go to if they have the coordinates, and obviously it's an entire universe basically, so there's almost no chance you'll end up in the same place without preset coordinates. Randomly generated, but once they are, they're in the universe forever. At least that's how it looks so far.
how do you solve fps drop with windows (that video didnt work) And can chucklefish solve the printer bug?
Yea there's nothing metroidvania about this game. Bringing that sub genre up in a discussion just makes this game look disappointing.
I'm excited to see the creature capture system being implemented. It'll be interesting to see how that evolves, maybe even into a full fledged pokemon-ish system where you can fight other players captured creatures.
IA!! Seriously, my favorite Vocaloid. Oh... uh I guess I should be posting something about Starbound... Err... I hope there will be a fix for the fps drop when it rains.
Please tell me in the bug fixes of this that the platnium/titanium ore spawns are fixed, i know its beta but hard to test the higher tier content if u cant acccess it properly
Don't try and turn this around like you're some sort of saint. This is "feedback" to you? Please explain how you think that this is constructive? All you did was come on and complain about something you didn't like. Please explain what I am misinterpreting in your post since I obviously don't have the comprehension to understand you. Also let's go into your "legitimate" reasons for why the feature is bad.: 1. "Death penalty doesn't no longer means shit"- Hmm, you'll have to explain this one to me because I fail to see how. The death penalty is not negated by the banking system, it encourages a risk vs. reward style of gameplay. For example, by adding the banking system in it gives people the incentive to go back to their base and put their money away. But in the case where you are underground and have been mining for a while do you go back topside to bank your pixels and be safe? Or do you keep on going risking the loss of pixels? 2. Millions of pixels- I'll just say that this is a matter of opinion as currently pixels aren't used in enough of the game to matter anyway. My opinion might change as the game updates but I have found myself with over 15k pixels just collecting dust since there is nothing to spend them on and that is just in 10-20 minutes of playing. The way the game runs now, in the early tiers you will find weapons that oneshot most mobs and brings the difficulty down significantly making it easier to collect the required pixels.
Coordinates are seeds by the way, they'll always generate the same system. You can type in anything and if someone else types in those same numbers in that same sector, it will be identical to what is in yours. If some planet has a lab with a tech in it when someone else visits it, if you go to that same planet in your game, there will also be a tech in a lab, but it will not likely be the same one, because chest contents are decided based on a random pool based generator. This also, in a way, lets you game the system, by farming the same planet on multiple characters you can essentially keep trying until you get what you want, tech-wise anyway. Simple visit to a multiplayer server allows you as many additional chances as you have characters, and then when all is said and done, you can put it all in a chest and gather it up on your desired main character.
Planets aren't "wiped clean" for individual characters. Planets don't exist in a Universe until they're generated from the seed. There's nothing to "wipe." In a Multiplayer universe, of course, planets are generated on the server as they're visited. [Too many quotes -ed]
I guess baby monsters would appear more frequently in the alpha sector? it would be cool if the further you go the larger the monsters. You can easily replace the tracks by downloading your own music and converting it to .ogg format. From there you just need to rename your music to the one you want to replace in the assets folder of starbound. Here is the link you need to convert your music files: http://audio.online-convert.com/convert-to-ogg
