Definitely, but I think people here are mostly talking about stuff that could be improved in the future, not necessarily the immediate one ^^
It would basically be like how the Campfire works for giving off Heat. Only, in this case, the O2 generator would drain out any other gasses out of a room that is completely sealed out, all the way to the Background walls being fully covered!
Then go ahead and do it. Do not waste the forum bandwith and database capacity with these unneeded posts.
It would be admirable if You actually did what You are just 'starting to think about doing'. Maybe even make a mod for others who agree with Your view? That would be cool. But trying to insult the devs like this is quite sad.
Dude you need to chill. In the end, what does or does not get put into the game is not up to ANY of us. In the end the choice is up to the developers. However, there is no harm in making suggestions and if the developers want to put in anything from water pressure to glittery pink water you can either put up with it or stop playing and go do something else. Nobody is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to play this game. I find your use of language unnecessary and if you disagree you could of found MUCH better ways to vocalize this.
Please also optimize the game, I am getting very little fps even though my computer can run more intense games than this.
I'd go for story related traits- Avians get glide without tech (wings are clipped, they fly like a chicken) and a swimming penalty (they do not swim like a duck), Florans get some kind of boosted health regen (photosynthesis) and a vulnerability to fire (they are plants), Fishboys breathe underwater and suffer some kind of penalty on land (not too much considering there's a lot more land than water). Not sure what the apes and humans would get... They're too close together for the traditional "humans are the baseline" idea that you get with most games. A couple of free blueprints for humans with matching nerf. Which would make the apes the no merit- no flaw species. Basic idea is a 1/2 tech benefit for a 1/2 tech loss. 25% on each and every attack should not be a 1/2 tech benefit. [edit- that should read as half tech, not 1 or 2 levels of tech]
In all honesty though, a water pressure idea would be really cool. It would make exploration of water-only planets (or mostly water planets) interesting. For example, put a wicked-cool Hylotl dungeon/village place on one of these water worlds that can only be accessed by said diving suit. Or something like that.
